Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

As we spend time with family and loved ones this Memorial Day, we pause in gratitude for the sacrifices made to protect the freedoms we share every day.

Prairie View wishes everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

Prairie View was honored to join the Wichita Wind Surge for Mental Health Awareness Night this May. Wichita Wind Surge

Our Marketing Director, Collin Munson had the incredible opportunity to throw out the first pitch, while our CEO\President, Marcy Johnson spoke before the game about Prairie View’s mission and the importance of mental health awareness in our community. We were also grateful to have our Chief Clinical Officer, Bryant Miller share why mental health matters, when someone should reach out for help, and how Prairie View is here to support those in need during a radio interview.

Mental health matters every day, and no one has to face challenges alone.

Reach out to us, we are here to help.

Prairie View is proud to share that Bailey Blair, LMSW, Crisis Clinical Officer at Prairie View and President of the Kansas Su***de Prevention Coalition, recently presented at the 2026 American Association of Suicidology Conference in St. Louis.

Her presentation, “Hope on the Move: Bridging Mobile Crisis Response with the Zero Su***de Framework,” highlighted how Prairie View’s crisis continuum of care, including our crisis line, mobile crisis response team, and Behavioral Urent Care services, helps support individuals experiencing suicidal crises through compassionate, community-based care.

The presentation also highlighted Prairie View’s ongoing work surrounding Zero Su***de initiatives, crisis response coordination, safety planning, care transitions, and improving access to mental and behavioral health services across Kansas communities.

We are incredibly proud to see Bailey and Prairie View represented on a national stage while helping advance conversations surrounding su***de prevention, crisis response, and systems of care.

Doomscrolling is when you spend a lot of time online consuming negative news. While you doomscroll, you might tell yourself that you’re just doing it to stay
informed about what’s going on in the world. It can easily become a habit, locking you into a loop of feeling bad and then reading the news to confirm that you should be feeling bad.

Avoiding Doomscrolling allows your nervous system to calm down, improving your ability to manage emotions and respond to challenges more constructively.
