We’re proud to share that Carl Jenkins, founder of Jenkins Funeral Home, has been re-elected to serve as District Director 7 of the North Carolina Funeral Directors Association (NCFDA). The election took place in Newton during the recent district social.
In addition, Carl was elected by the NCFDA Board of Directors to serve on the Executive Board at the organization’s recent board meeting in Clemmons.
These well-deserved honors reflect Carl’s continued leadership, dedication, and commitment to serving families and strengthening the funeral profession across North Carolina.

Gilbert “Hook” Mashburn, 87, of Stanley, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, October 2, 2025.Born May 21, 1938, he was the son of the late Zed and Grace Mashburn. Jerry Lee Hill, 73, of Hickory died Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Carolina Caring Catawba Valley Hospice House. Born August 16th, 1952 he was the son of the late Horace and Nelda Hill.
