Intramuscular vs Subcutaneous injections
what’s the difference?

At KDR, we often use peptides and wellness injections like NAD, glutathione, and HCG, but they are not all administered the same way.

Intramuscular injections (like NAD or glutathione) use a ½ inch needle and are typically done in areas like the middle third of the thigh or the upper glute.

Subcutaneous injections (like HCG) use a shorter 5/16 inch needle and are usually injected into fatty areas like the abdomen or upper inner thigh, avoiding about two inches around the belly button.

One important tip:
Insert the needle first, then press the plunger.
If you push while going in, you may lose some of the medication.

Understanding the difference helps ensure safe and effective injections.
