Western Day fun at Bedford Care Center of Newton ! 🌵✨

Our residents had a blast digging for “gold” in the sand during our western-themed activities! We used spray-painted rocks and little plastic jewels to create a fun gold mining experience that everyone enjoyed.

We also had some exciting western target shooting games that brought out lots of laughs, smiles, and friendly competition! 🎯🐴

It was another wonderful day full of fun, creativity, and western spirit here at Bedford!

Our residents enjoyed a creative watercolor project using food dye to paint vibrant rainbows. With support from therapy and guidance from JJ, residents gently tapped watercolor onto dried salt and watched as the colors soaked in and came to life—such a calming and fun sensory experience! 🎨✨

It was a wonderful way to engage creativity, encourage participation, and enjoy a peaceful moment together. We love seeing our residents express themselves through art and activities like this! ❤️

🌺 A Little Friendly Competition for Nursing Home Week! 🌺

Today our residents and staff teamed up for a fun Lei Toss Competition! Partners took turns trying to toss leis onto each other’s heads without using their hands, and there were lots of laughs, smiles, and friendly competition along the way. 😂💐

Our residents had the best time participating and cheering each other on. We are loving all the fun memories being made during Nursing Home Week and can’t wait to see what the rest of the week has in store! ❤️

🌺🎶 Happy Nursing Home Week! 🎨✨

Today we kicked off our Hawaiian Luau Day with a special performance from the Newton County High School Choir! Our residents loved listening to the beautiful songs and spending time with these talented students. ❤️

We also got creative with a mosaic artwork activity led by our wonderful MDS nurse. Residents glued colorful pieces of glass onto wooden cutouts, and after adding resin, the projects turned into beautiful keepsakes to treasure. 💖

From music to crafts, today was filled with smiles, laughter, and creativity. We are having such a fun Nursing Home Week and can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings! 🌸

🌸 Happy Nursing Home Week! 🌸

Yesterday our residents spent the day getting creative and helping decorate the facility for Nursing Home Week! We made beautiful tissue paper flowers to hang throughout the halls and created lovely centerpieces with colorful Orbeez and flowers that looked like they were floating. 💐✨

The smiles, laughter, and creativity made for such a wonderful day. We are having the best week and can’t wait to see what other fun activities and memories are ahead! ❤️

We loved recognizing our 1st Quarter Milestone Anniversaries—including one incredible team member with 30 years, another with 20 years, and others celebrating 5, 3, and 1 year milestones! 💚

Our therapy group spent some wonderful time outside today, gardening and soaking up the beautiful spring weather. Residents loved getting their hands in the dirt, listening to music, and enjoying the fresh air together. 🎶🌱

Gardening is something we’re excited to continue all summer long, and we’re already looking forward to seeing the fruits of our labor grow! 🍅🌼
