She works with individuals across all stages and ages and has a particular passion for helping clients by using their own personal strengths, willingness, and openness for change to achieve their goals through vulnerability and connection. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or any kind of life transition, she offers a compassionate and safe environment where healing and growth can take place.

Traci is currently a second-year graduate student working toward a professional counselor licensure from Wichita State University. She is a proud parent to two teens and four fur babies, who loves spending time with her children, family, friends, and dogs. In her free time, she enjoys golfing, crafting, baking, and reading. Traci's fee is $30 cash per session.

She believes therapy is for absolutely everyone, no matter how big or small the issue. Traci believes you are the expert in your life and considers it a privilege to walk beside you on your healing journey.

Life holds its own set of challenges, and you do not have to face them alone. Guided by a heart of compassion and care, I would love to walk through life’s trials and difficulties alongside you.

My name is Erica Schlender and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) following a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University. During my previous careers in teaching and agriculture, I was made aware of how necessary it is to have someone you can turn to, to release the burden of your own worries and concerns and not feel as though you have to shoulder them alone. This is why I have embraced the field of counseling, so as to be that “someone” for others.

Throughout my professional practice, I have met with individual clients of all ages who have felt weighed down by anxiety, stress, depression, grief, addiction, relationship issues, unexpected life transitions, body sensitivity issues, and who were questioning their faith. I strive to create a collaborative, nurturing environment for clients using a person-centered approach. My integrative style to therapy has involved theories such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in addition to Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Grief Therapy.

In the busyness of life, I believe in creating a space for you where you may feel seen, heard, and understood. I would feel honored in providing you with a place for self-discovery, to uncover compassion towards yourself while embracing all of who you are, within the means of a non-judgmental environment.

It sounds harsh — and it is.
�Because this work isn’t gentle. It asks you to look at the parts of yourself you’d rather ignore.�
The anger that comes too quickly.�The control that shows up when fear creeps in.�The silence you learned to survive with.�The wounds you carry from when you were small.

And if you don’t face them — not blame them, not hate them, but face them — they don’t disappear.
�They simply pass down, shape the tone of your voice, guide your reactions, become the lens through which you see your child.

Your child doesn’t just inherit your smile.�They inherit your patterns.�Your fears.�Your unfinished business.

That’s why this work matters so much.
�Not to be perfect. Not to “fix” yourself.�But to pause long enough to ask: Is this mine? Or am I about to hand it to them, too?
