⚡️Targeted Recovery for Calf Strains⚡️

The gastrocnemius and soleus are the powerhouse muscles of your calf — key players for walking, running, and jumping. When strained, they can cause pain, tightness, and even limit ankle mobility.

At our office, we use Shockwave Therapy to:
✅ Stimulate blood flow and cellular repair
✅ Break down scar tissue and adhesions
✅ Accelerate healing in both acute and chronic strains
✅ Reduce pain and inflammation naturally
✅ Restore full strength and mobility faster

If your calf strain isn’t healing as quickly as you’d like — don’t just wait it out.
⚡️Shockwave Therapy helps your body restart the healing process.

📍Call or DM us to schedule your evaluation and see if Shockwave Therapy is right for you.

Piriformis Syndrome: When Tight Muscles Trap the Sciatic Nerve ⚡️

If you’ve ever felt a deep ache in your glutes, hip, or down your leg, it might not just be “sciatica.”

👉 The piriformis muscle runs close to the sciatic nerve, and when it tightens or spasms, it can compress that nerve, leading to pain, numbness, or tingling that radiates down the leg.

Here’s the breakdown based on anatomical studies:
🔹 85–90% of people – the sciatic nerve passes under the piriformis (normal anatomy)
🔹 10–15% – variations such as:
 • A split nerve, with one branch passing through the piriformis (≈ 10–12%)
 • The entire nerve passing through the muscle (≈ 1–2%)
 • The nerve passing over the piriformis ( < 1%)

These variations, described in Beaton & Anson (1937) and supported by later MRI research, explain why some people are more prone to piriformis-related sciatic pain.

At our office, we use Shockwave Therapy combined with assisted active range of motion to help:
✅ Relax tight muscle fibers
✅ Improve blood flow
✅ Decrease nerve irritation
✅ Restore proper movement

Shockwave Therapy also stimulates the release of key growth factors that accelerate healing:
💥 VEGF (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor) – promotes new blood vessel formation
💥 Neurotrophin-3 – supports nerve regeneration
💥 Nitric Oxide Synthase – enhances circulation and reduces inflammation
💥 Bone Morphogenic Growth Factor – encourages tissue remodeling
💥 Tenocyte Proliferation – supports tendon and connective tissue repair

In more complex cases, diagnostic imaging can help confirm the source of your pain and guide targeted treatment.

💥 Don’t ignore that deep glute ache — address it before it limits your mobility.
📍Schedule an evaluation today to see if Shockwave Therapy could help you move pain-free again.

Why Your Muscles Don’t Heal After Injury 💥

When you injure a muscle or tendon, the body builds scar tissue to protect it.
But if that tissue doesn’t get proper circulation and mobility again, it becomes stuck.

Over time, those adhesions block oxygen, blood flow, and movement — which is why that old pain keeps coming back, even after rest.

At our office, we use Graston Therapy to break up fascial adhesions and Shockwave Therapy to trigger new healing on a cellular level.
Together, they help restore blood flow, reduce inflammation, and teach your body how to heal again.

🔹 Don’t let old injuries become permanent pain.
📍DM us or call to see if your IT Band pain could be caused by scar tissue restriction.
