💾 SAVE THIS: Shockwave Therapy Dos & Don’ts

DO:
✔️ Hydrate & eat well (protein helps healing)
✔️ Wear loose, comfy clothing
✔️ Stay gently active (walking is great)
✔️ Stretch & strengthen as prescribed
✔️ Use heat after treatment (10–20 min)
✔️ Attend all sessions consistently

DON’T:
❌ Take NSAIDs (ibuprofen, aspirin)
❌ Use ice on the treated area
❌ Run, jump, or lift heavy for 48–72 hrs
❌ Overdo it — even if you feel good
❌ Ignore pain or unusual symptoms

Mild soreness after treatment is normal — it’s part of the healing response.

Shockwave therapy works best when paired with the right rehab + recovery plan.

Save this before your next session.

Shockwave therapy is a biological intervention — not a mechanical fix.

In chronic tendon conditions — such as mid-portion Achilles tendinosis — the primary issue is not inflammation.
It’s failed tendon regeneration:
• Reduced cellular activity
• Disorganized collagen structure
• Impaired mechanotransduction
• A compromised healing environment

Focused shockwave therapy acts as a biological stimulus that helps restore tissue capacity.

Research demonstrates that focused shockwave can:
✔️ Up-regulate angiogenic growth factors (VEGF, eNOS)
✔️ Stimulate tenocyte proliferation
✔️ Promote neovascularization
✔️ Initiate collagen remodeling within chronically degenerated tendon tissue

These biological effects occur before measurable changes in mechanical strength are felt.

Shockwave does not immediately strengthen tendon tissue — it restores the biological foundation so the tendon can respond appropriately to load again.

This is why focused shockwave should be used in conjunction with progressive loading and rehabilitation, not as a standalone treatment.

Neck pain is often blamed on “tight muscles” —
but many cases actually come from the cervical facet joints.

These small joints guide movement in your neck and can become irritated from posture strain, desk work, repetitive stress, or degeneration.

⚡ Focused shockwave therapy allows us to:
✔️ Target the joint precisely
✔️ Reduce nerve sensitivity
✔️ Improve blood flow & tissue healing
✔️ Decrease inflammation without drugs, injections or surgery

Most patients notice pain relief and improved mobility within just a few sessions, especially when shockwave is combined with chiropractic care and rehab.

If neck pain is limiting your day — it may be time to treat the source, not just the symptoms.

📍Schedule a consultation to see if shockwave is right for you.

• Restore movement and quality of life

Feeling better isn’t a luxury — it’s the foundation for living well.
Let’s make 2026 the year you move, work, and live with less pain.
