Visiting Nurse Association of Newtown Thrift Shop

Visiting Nurse Association of Newtown Thrift Shop The VNA Thrift Shop is open every Saturday, 9AM-12PM. 45 Main St, Newtown CT. We raise funds by running a Thrift Shop behind the Edmond Town Hall.

We are a service organization that provides funds for flu shots and other services that a Newtown resident could not afford, scholarships for graduating Newtown resident seniors who are entering the medical field, blood pressure screenings at the Newtown Senior Center, eye screenings at our local pre-schools (along with the Newtown Lions who provide the pedia-spot machine) to name a few things. We no longer have a medical Loan Closet.

Newtown Su***de Prevention Initiative was formed to bring awareness to su***de prevention and shatter the stigma. Listen to someone’s story. Do not judge. Let them know their life matters to you. That one conversation could save a life.

September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month—a time to raise awareness, promote hope, and normalize help-seeking.

On Saturday Sept. 13, all proceeds from the VNA thrift shop will go to support Newtown Su***de Prevention Initiative. Your support of this very worthy cause will be most appreciated!
