So much sneakiness going on!!
This is not unique! Just because someone “takes your insurance” doesn’t mean that their service will be covered.. not only that, but their service will likely look completely different than if it was performed by someone that was out of network.
For PT, reimbursement rates are atrocious.
We wouldn’t be able to get quality therapists and give quality care.
Our environment would not be as comfortable, tranquil and cozy.
Our sessions wouldn’t be one:on:one for an hour.
We wouldn’t be able to look at you holistically but rather could only focus on one body party per day.
And to cap it all off, it might be WAY MORE expensive if you went in network, if you haven’t paid your deductible, have a high copay, coinsurance, or due to flat out rejection because your insurance refuses to pay..
It isn’t black and white- we are trying to break down as many barriers we can so that we can get put patients first and get them better, faster.
