Pennswood Village is a continuing care retirement community for those 65 and older. Pennswood Village encourages everyone to participate in the discussion!

Home to more than 450 residents in Newtown, Pennsylvania, the Friends retirement community is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF-CCAC). Residents enjoy Life Care and Fee-for-Service Contracts that provide the highest level of service and access to health care with a predictable financial plan and peace of mind whatever the future holds. We love to read your comments and answer your questions. However, we do ask that you keep all posts and comments relevant and respectful. One of our favorite Pennswood traditions 📚💚

Our residents, in partnership with our Transportation Department, recently dropped off books at Historic Fair Hill — an organization residents are proud to support for its work in early literacy, community-building, advocacy-based history, and greening. 🌿✨

Residents collected new and gently used books for children in preschool through 8th grade. We love seeing our community come together to share the joy of reading and give back in such a meaningful way. 🤝📖

Residents celebrated the occasion with a scenic walk at Peace Valley Park in Doylestown — soaking up the fall sunshine, fresh air, and beautiful lake views. 🍂💛 It was the perfect way to embrace wellness, community, and the joy of staying active together!

The Woolman Lounge was swinging! 🎤✨

Residents and families came together for a Frank Sinatra Night, complete with an incredible Sinatra impersonator who had everyone smiling, swaying, and singing along to the classics. From “Fly Me to the Moon” to “My Way,” the evening was full of timeless tunes, laughter, and unforgettable memories. 🎶💙

We loved hosting today’s Medicare Seminar 💙✨

Attendees learned all about the new innovations and changes coming to Medicare in 2026 with the help of Leah Ludwig from Everence Financial. Thank you to everyone who joined us and came ready with great questions! 🙌📋

And of course, no Pennswood event is complete without a delicious treat — attendees enjoyed a breakfast bite (or two 😉) from our talented Culinary Team. Who knew a hash brown egg bite could be that good?! 😋✨

Residents recently took a trip to Phillips' Mill Community Association New Hope to visit the 96th Annual Art Show — one of the region’s most celebrated art events! 🌿✨

It was the perfect day to stroll the grounds, enjoy the beautiful fall weather 🍂☀️, and take in all the incredible artwork on display.

This year’s visit was extra special because our very own resident, Carol, had one of her pieces featured in the show! 👏💚 We couldn’t be prouder!
