I am the owner and operator of a modest massage therapy studio in Newtown, Connecticut. Life is generally good.
I have been a licensed massage therapist since 2006, and have practiced in Michigan, Florida, and Connecticut. My education has been diverse; I enjoyed taking classes in a plethora of subjects over the years. I hold two Bachelor of Arts degrees, with focuses in music performance, French, and English. I also had the pleasure of living and studying in France for a year, a beautiful country that will always hold a special place in my heart. My work experience prior to massage therapy includes teaching French at the university level, medical office management, and retail management. Preferred pastimes generally involve music, whether it's playing the flute or listening to anything interesting from anywhere, no matter the genre. I also enjoy poetry, plays, and the occasional novel. Long walks in forests are always good, but I prefer them sans mosquitos and bears. I live a quiet life with my husband, son, mother-in-law, and cats in a lovely old money-sucking Victorian in Thomaston, Connecticut.

I can’t recommend this a ca****la group highly enough. To listen to their music is comparable to bathing your soul in divine light. An absolutely incredible spiritual experience that should not be missed.
Wishing a wonderful holiday to those who celebrate. 🌞

Along with the refreshingly cooler weather, September also brings a plethora of activities, festivals, and holidays for families. Such a busy and fun time of year!
Speaking of special days, Grandparents' Day is this Sunday. What better way to celebrate and thank them than a gift certificate for a massage? Call, text or e-mail today or tomorrow to acquire one virtually or to pick one up.
September brings specials too. Seniors can take $10 off any service this month. I'm offering a few free add-ons as well, with a complimentary peppermint, tea tree or lavender foot or scalp massage with any service.
Welcome September. May her gently-angled sunshine and soft breezes inspire sauntering in sacred natural spaces, and may her cooler nights lull us to dream-laden sleeping, empowering our creative energies.

I found myself humming this little piece of our collective childhoods today, and thought I’d share. Happy Fourth, everybody.

Addressing the needs of our inner and outer selves is so important. Ignoring them often has disastrous effects on our lives, leaving us feeling empty, depressed, anxious, and ultimately less productive. We all long for experiences that contribute to feeling happy, whole, and energized.
It is widely acknowledged that massage brings relief from physical pain and discomfort. Less understood is its spiritual benefit and hence transformative quality. Through massage, one feels simultaneously a greater sense of centeredness and interconnectiveness, leaving one ready to face life with renewed vigor and fresh perspective.
It is my goal to help people strengthen their bodies and identities, reclaim a better quality of life, and, as a consequence, redefine their futures.
A Brief Bio
I completed my coursework in massage therapy and skin care in Michigan, and I have since attended advanced classes in integrated medical massage and in paramedical skin care both in Michigan and in Florida. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree, and I spent a year studying in Paris, France. Hobbies include playing the flute, participating in a church handbell choir, dappling in etymology, and listening to global classical, jazz, and folk music.
Since 2007, I have had the privilege of practicing in Michigan, Florida, and Connecticut. My husband, son, and I moved to Newtown in September 2017, and we absolutely love it. The schools are top notch, the parks plentiful, and there are countless cultural activities to take advantage of. We look forward to many productive and fun years here!
