Annual performance review for my Associate Therapist, Hans:

Pros: Excellent at grounding techniques, maintains a calm 'office' environment (most of the time), and never breaks confidentiality (mostly because he’s asleep).

Cons: Prone to some barking in-between appointments, insists on 'tactile breaks' every 20 minutes, and has yet to help with a single insurance claim.

Despite the lack of paperwork skills, he’s the best hire I’ve ever made. There’s nothing like a Corgi greeting to recharge my batteries between sessions! 🐾🛋️

Traditional Exposure Therapy (ERP) isn't the only path to OCD recovery. If you’re looking for a different approach, Inference-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT) might be the missing piece.

Why try I-CBT?

Target the root: We focus on how your brain creates OCD doubt in the first place.

Trust yourself: Learn to rely on your senses and common sense over "what-if" stories.

I’m support clients reclaim their lives from OCD using this innovative modality.

Mindful Reads, Series 3 Part 2

Peter Levine's book, Waking the Tiger: Healing Trauma, introduces Somatic Experiencing (SE), a body-centered approach to trauma recovery. The core idea is that trauma symptoms arise from a physiological response—specifically, the "fight, flight, or freeze" energy that gets trapped in the body when an individual is unable to complete a self-protective action. The book offers practical exercises to help people safely access and release this stored energy by focusing on bodily sensations.
