Responsibilities:
• Triages and assesses acutely ill patients for early identification of signs and symptoms to prevent complications and ensure timely intervention of acutely ill patients.
• Educates patient and family in health promotion and disease management using available resources.

Dementia Deemed Highly Preventable:

The new study, published in The Lancet by the Lancet Commission on Dementia, estimates that close to 50% of cases of dementia worldwide can be prevented or delayed by improving 14 modifiable risk factors.

Newly identified modifiable risk factors add to what we already know about preventing or delaying dementia.
