Child Advocacy Center of Niagara The Child Advocacy Center of Niagara is a child-friendly facility designed to coordinate services for child abuse/maltreatment victims in Niagara County

The Child Advocacy Center of Niagara provides a safe, neutral and child-friendly setting to respond to and investigate reports of child abuse and maltreatment, including children who have been witness to domestic violence. A multi-disciplinary team of law enforcement, social services, prosecution, medical and mental health personnel work together providing services and advocating for children and their non offending care givers in an effort to reduce trauma and promote healing. The CAC also provides outreach and education services aimed towards the prevention of abuse.

Children and teenagers who run away are at risk of homelessness, s*xual and physical abuse, exposure to substance abuse, and child s*x trafficking.

In 2024 alone, there were more than 29,000 missing child cases reported to NCMEC, and of those, over 27,000 were classified as endangered runaways. One in seven were likely victims of child s*x trafficking.

Having a sick little one can be a challenging time for a family. Sick babies tend to have a harder time sleeping and staying asleep. This makes it an easy time for caregivers to ease up on their safe sleep plan, however it is even more important to practice safe sleep when baby is sick.
