Please take a moment to complete the Public Preparedness Assessment survey using the link found below.

This survey is designed to gather community feedback on individual emergency preparedness and public understanding of local emergency management roles and responsibilities. The information collected will help the county identify knowledge gaps,
concerns, and priorities so it can develop clear, relevant public information materials. Survey results will be used to create an emergency preparedness informational packet for the county website, local municipalities, and social media platforms, ensuring
resources reflect what residents need most.

Marinette County has everything! Find information on Government officials, departments, services and more.

Sharing some positive news that isn’t weather-related!
What a wonderful show of class and sportsmanship by our Badger boys.

Last night’s game gave us a reminder that some of the most meaningful moments in athletics have nothing to do with the final score.

A player on the opposing team, who is said to not often see much time on the court, was working hard for an opportunity to take a shot. The crowd felt it and rallied behind him, cheering louder with each attempt.

That’s when our Badgers stepped up in a way that truly mattered. The boys recognized the moment, stopped play, and handed him the ball, giving him the chance to take his shot. A simple gesture that made a lasting impact.

Moments like this reflect what school athletics are really about: sportsmanship, respect, and heart.

Thank you to Katie Fleming for sharing this moment and allowing us to pass along your photo to highlight such a powerful example of good sportsmanship.

There is still time to vote and support your local charity / not-for-profit organizations - you can vote for as many as you want!
Thank you to all of the creative site sponsors and visitors!

This most recent storm took a toll on some of the sites at the Niagara Christmas Village. The Christmas Village will still be lit every night from 3pm-10pm through Wed night (New Year's Eve), but sites that took damage may start to dismantle their sites early. There are pictures of each of the sites on the page in the 2025 Niagara Christmas Village Sites photo album.

If you haven't voted yet, the last day to vote is Thursday, January 1st. All voting boxes will be collected the morning of January 2nd. All the decorating groups did a great job again this year and each have chosen worthy local organizations/charities to support. Voting locations are:

--Niagara City Hall, 1029 Roosevelt Rd (24 hr secure drop box, rear entrance between glass doors)
--Forward Financial Credit Union, 1050 Roosevelt Rd, Niagara (M-F 8:30A-5P; Saturday 8:30A-12P)
--Nicolet Bank, 900 Roosevelt Rd, Niagara (M-F 8:30A-5P)
--Pit Stop Bar & Grill, 1059 Roosevelt Rd, Niagara (Daily 10A-Close)
--Scott’s Uptown Lanes, 1201 Roosevelt Rd, Niagara (Daily 11A-2A)
--Tripp's Tavern, 1001 Roosevelt Rd, Niagara (M-Th 10A-Close, F-Su 9A-Close)

Each voting location has a folder with a picture of each site, as well as a listing of all the sites and the local organization/charity they support.

A BIG THANK YOU to all the decorators that joined in this year. Your time and creativity is greatly appreciated!

One of the City plow drivers just radioed regarding children playing in the snowbanks along one of the streets.

Please educate children on the dangers of snow removal and make sure they play safely. The force and weight of the snow coming off of the plows can injure or bury a child. The blade on a plow is sharp, heavy and dangerous. Snowbanks make it difficult for plow drivers to see children playing in these areas.

City, Township and County crews are working diligently to keep the roads clear.
