Established in 2015, US HempCare LLC is a family-owned natural products company based in Niantic, CT. From seed to bottle, we specialize in premium hemp “CBD” products featuring cannabinoids and terpenes from local, organically grown hemp. In 2017 US HempCare began growing hemp at UConn - in greenhouses and on a two-acre plot at their research farm in Storrs, CT. It was the first time that hemp wa

s legally grown in the state of Connecticut in ~60 years. During that time at UConn, we were able to confirm the viability of two hemp cul¬tivars: “CT Wife” and “CT Abacus.”

We quickly realized the CT Wife and CT Abacus had different characteristics and began research to identify how and why their effects varied. We learned about the terpenes and cannabinoid profiles of each plant and how they may best be used. Due to current FDA regulations, we cannot (and do not) make any medical claims as to health ben¬efits about our products, but we listen to our customers and follow studies on the NIH site (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/?term=CBD ). Years later, our hemp is still grown in CT using organic practices with a focus on healthy soil and proven genetics. Some of our hemp is extracted for cannabinoids to create distillates, other plants are used to infuse coconut oil and some are steam-distilled to extract our terpenes. Testing- We start by testing our soil before we grow our hemp – and then test 6 times from seed to bottle – not just for potency but also for contaminants, mold, pesticides, heavy metals, bacteria, or anything else which could be harmful. We source the finest organic ingredients available to formulate our products - diligently comparing COAs and fair-trade certifications to select the finest ingredients – price be damned. We do not use any artificial coloring or flavoring – but instead, use our own steam-distilled terpenes for both flavor and effect. We’ve implemented stringent protocols to guarantee both quality and consistency– following cGMP guidelines for dietary supplements – and we’ve incorporated additional safety measures during Covid19 to protect both our customers and employees. Our products are “full spectrum” and contain not just CBD, but also minor cannabinoids like CBG, CBC, THC (always below .3%) and CBN. But our products are also loaded with terpenes extracted from our plants – which adds both flavor and effect for our products.
