Today is "World Mental Health Day!" Mental health is so important. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices.
Here are some ways that you can help your mental health:
1.) Eat a healthy diet. Food affects the way you think and feel.
2.) Exercise! Exercise can help decrease depression and anxiety. It can also improve moods.
3.) Get enough sleep. Getting enough sleep improves mood, brain function, and overall health.
4.) Disconnect from electronics and social media. This can help reduce anxiety, depression, feelings of loneliness, and FOMO.
5.) Spend time with loved ones. Spending time with friends and family can help one feel encouraged, supported, and validated.
6.) Seek mental health help. Seeking help is a sign of strength — not a weakness.
