I preach this to my clients. You need protein! Your body does not look at protein the same as carbs or fats. It’s your metabolism’s best source of fuel for women and men. Women need atleast 100 grams of protein a day, at a minimum. No, 100 grams is not too much, even for a 70 year old. Focus on protein and water intake to loose weight and increase energy levels!

Fantastic news!!! Since 2002, there has been a black box warning due to a WHI study that’s scared everyone. So thankful new, high quality studies have evolved because women need hormones in menopause and should be supported! Always remember studies can be flawed. They need to be high quality, multi-centered, randomized and controlled. (Side note: If you take estrogen, make sure it’s always compounded.)

“Hormone replacement therapy, or HRT, was widely prescribed, including to protect women from chronic diseases, especially heart disease, for decades.
