How it started + why we do what we do đź’ś
“See a need, fill a need.”
That simple mantra became the heartbeat of Hope’s Embrace.
We were founded to bridge the gap in birth support across socioeconomic lines—because every family deserves to feel supported, informed, and respected. After persistent advocacy and problem-solving, our mission became reality in April 2016 when we attended our very first birth. By November of that same year, Hope’s Embrace became an official 501(c)(3), expanding access to doula care for families across our communities.
What we do: We exist to eliminate the feeling of “I wish I had known.”
Through non-judgmental listening, continuous emotional and physical support, and evidence-based education, we walk alongside families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum—without imposing opinions or agendas.
We help you explore options, prepare for the unexpected, and create backup plans—because a positive birth experience isn’t just about the outcome. It’s about being heard, respected, and empowered every step of the way.
While we are not medical professionals and do not provide clinical care, we work alongside your healthcare team to ensure you feel confident asking questions and advocating for your needs.
This is birth support rooted in dignity, access, and care—for every family. 🌿 Contact us today if you're ready to get started!
