They arrived May 1st. I posted this a couple of years ago, and again I am giddy! Enjoy!

Every spring I anxiously await the arrival of the Baltimore Orioles to our feeder. Each year, within the month of May, a pair arrives usually with one or two offspring from the prior year. They always announce their arrival with excited chatter. That is how I know they have arrived! I hear them before I see them and am immediately giddy. I dash to the house for grape jelly and oranges to help them recover from their long journey. The jelly and oranges are given a lovely dose of Reiki before they are placed on the feeder which has a Reiki zone surrounding it. Within minutes they are at the feeder or getting a refreshing drink from the bird bath. What joy they give me!
The next matter of business for the Orioles is to find the perfect location for their nest. If you have never seen or handled a nest, research these amazing structures! They have nested in a silver maple the last two years, so I figured they would be close again this year. I could see them flying to the tree, but the foliage was so thick, I really couldn't see them. I had been watching them for about a week but couldn't find their new nest. Then I finally realized that I could use Reiki to locate the nest! I activated Reiki with the intent of finding it. I then utilized Gyoshi-ho to scan the entire tree listening to my intuition and to Reiki. While scanning, my eyes suddenly stopped on a thick area of leaves. That must be it, but I still couldn't clearly see if the nest is indeed there. Then, out of the foliage flies the male Oriole in all his beautiful orange splendor! Now I am waiting for the exciting chatter of baby Balitmore Orioles!
