Using the assistance of new technology we are treating this patient’s trigger finger. We have his hand immersed in a warm water bath, where we are combining DC current electricity and water to significantly decrease symptoms of pain while aggressively stretching the tendons of his finger flexors.

Without the sensory distraction the patient would not be able to tolerate the aggressive stretching required for trigger finger. ➡️You can also note the increased blood flow and tissue quality improvement compared to his other hand.

We’re excited to officially introduce you to our PT Tech, Lucas! If you’ve been in the clinic this spring then you have probably seen him working alongside our team completing an internship for his Exercise Science degree.

He will now be joining us this summer gaining more hands on experience by assisting us with appointments before he begins school in the fall to earn his Doctorate degree in physical therapy at Andrews University!

We love it when physical therapy for chronic pain becomes a weekly maintenance appointment to keep you feeling good in your day-to-day life, even after the injury is repaired!

Shoutout to Tony for the kind words and for continuing to put in the work at home so he achieves a pain-free life. 💪

Dr. Price spent today out of the clinic to travel down to Indianapolis to assess and treat patients with one of the top vascular surgeons in the country, Dr. Sheng. Both doctors agree thoracic outlet syndrome is one of the most misdiagnosed orthopedic conditions in the country.
TOS causes pain and excessive tightness in the shoulders and neck. Left unchecked it can also lead to migraines, headaches, POTS, numbness, weakness, and coldness in the fingers. It is often misdiagnosed as carpal or cubital tunnel syndrome, cervical degenerative disc disease, cervical disc herniation, or a SLAP tear in the shoulder.
Currently there is not a great way to treat the condition when the vascular structures coming out of the neck get compressed. The PT treatments outlined in text books simply do not work and are in desperate need for updating.
Today we are one step closer to finding a solution for the millions of people who suffer on a daily basis. In the meantime, the first step is awareness!
