A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this Christmas unforgettable at West Woods of Niles. Thank you to St. Mark’s Church for providing gifts for each of our residents—we couldn’t have done it without you! To the amazing staff, families, and community members who chose names off our Angel Tree to provide special gifts for our residents, your generosity made such a difference. Thank you to Niles Moose Lodge for the generous sock donations, to all the volunteers, carolers, and the wonderful Niles community for making this Christmas spectacular. A special thanks to everyone who took the time to write Christmas cards—we received a record number this year, and our residents were so touched. Thank you to our past families of West Woods for providing gifts in honor of your loved ones. And to the amazing residents who helped organize and get activities rolling, your efforts are deeply appreciated. If I’ve missed anyone, thank you for your kindness and generosity. We’re all geared up and excited for our Christmas party! Every resident will receive a special gift from Santa , and we can’t wait to spread some holiday cheer. The staff raffle is underway, and we’re all looking forward to some fantastic prizes!
A huge THANK YOU to our amazing Chef Arthur for the delicious Christmas meal he prepared for the staff yesterday. It was absolutely wonderful and truly filled our hearts (and stomachs) with joy! Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy holiday season filled with love, laughter, and good cheer!

Candy Cane Day Fun!
Yesterday, we had a blast celebrating Candy Cane Day with our wonderful residents! We treated everyone to donuts and coffee, making the day even sweeter. The excitement didn’t stop there! We also had our monthly Puzzle Race and the winning team was awarded a big package of candy canes to enjoy! And we couldn’t miss a special shoutout to our adorable twin duo, Erin & Maxine! On Friday, we celebrated our December birthdays, and we had an extra special celebration as Sherry also marked her big day! Sherry has been a cherished part of the West Woods family for 6 years now, and she’s always an active participant in our activities—plus, she generously volunteers by folding our monthly newsletters! To make the day even sweeter, Sherry’s sister, Molly, brought in delicious pumpkin pies to share at the birthday party—Sherry’s absolute favorite! Thank you, Molly, for adding that special touch to the celebration. We’re so grateful for Sherry and everything she brings to our community. Here's to many more happy years with you, Sherry!
