Owen has officially found his forever home! 💙

November is National Adoption Month, and we’re so happy to celebrate this big day!
Owen has been in foster care since he was born. He is the 10th child adopted by Christina and Burl Queen, joining their beautifully blended family of 12 children, 5 foster children, and 4 grandchildren!

The Queens have been part of YAS—now Cadence Care Network—since 2013 and have been fostering for over 20 years. ❤️ Owen’s siblings, who are placed in another home, will also be adopted soon — keeping siblings together!

Our Foster Care team — Emily C. Keri G, and longtime Foster Parent Marci K — brought Cadence Care to Worthington and Hilliard this weekend!

When Isabelle first came to Cadence Coffeehouse & Creperie she had lost everything.
Her mom had just passed away. Her dad had lost his job. They lost their car, their stability — and some days, even the certainty of their next meal.
From day one, we made sure she had more than just a paycheck. We made sure she and her dad ate. We connected her with food pantries and resources. We gave her a safe, encouraging place to work, learn new skills, and discover what a healthy job could feel like.
“They set the tone for what a good job should feel like,” Isabelle says. “They really helped me. I didn’t live paycheck to paycheck — I lived meal to meal — and now I’m doing so much better.”
When she landed her dream job at , we didn’t just say goodbye — we helped her transition, working two days here and two days there, so she felt ready and confident to take the leap.
Today, the Isabelle standing in front of us is almost unrecognizable from the one in her “before” photo. She’s glowing. She’s healthy. She’s thriving in the career she loves.
This is what Cadence Coffeehouse is all about. Every latte, every crepe, every visit fuels transformations like Isabelle’s. 💛

Cadence Care Network recently achieved another four-year reaccreditation through the Council on Accreditation (COA). The agency was expedited through the Pre-Commission Review Report (PCR) process because of not receiving any out of compliance ratings in any of the fundamental practice standards.

Accreditation ensures the agency meets the best practice standards in the field in both service delivery and program administration.

“This is a huge accomplishment by our team, specifically in light of our program expansion over the last few years. As an organization, we served more children and families, while maintaining the best practice standards in our field! I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our Board of Trustees, Executive Team, Directors, Supervisors, and Staff who took part in the process” said Chief Executive Officer Matt Kresic. “I am proud to be seated in my chair at the head of this great organization.”
