✨ I don’t believe there is ever one perfect way to handle an issue or make a point. Nor will I tell anyone how to contribute, we need to all do what we can where we can. ✨
We will be making all our classes free tomorrow January 30th 2026 to stand with Minnesota and any and all others who need positive energy and who feel alone or overwhelmed. Yoga Shine simply wants to be a peaceful haven for anyone who needs it. If you want to learn more about yoga and the many beautiful guidelines that lead us in this life, please read through the stories Im about to post.

Easy to purchase on our website or in person before or after a class!
We are also looking for people to help out around the studio for trade for a shine membership!! We have three openings! We need: 1. Studio cleaner (once a week cleaning typically takes less than hours) 2. Someone to wash our props. (Typically it’s 2 loads a week) 3. Someone to maintain our plants (water once a week, feed once a month, possible repotting adding soil quarterly). If money is what is holding you back from your yoga journey, reach out!

Happy new year Yoga Shine Family!
We kicked started our 2026 with a word to strengthen our resolve, motivate, inspire, remind the true heart’s desire for the year. Then we flowed in our mats with awareness through folds, twists, bends and balance.

So happy to announce we are starting another round of yoga teacher training!!!
If you are interested please DM me and I’ll send over the syllabus plus answer any and all of your questions.
This training is unique in that it is all focused on “teaching” yoga versus “diving deeper into your own practice” though that certainly is an amazing component as well. It is also unique in that it includes an additional 100 hours of training that most trainings do not include. These extra one hundred hours focus on sequencing your classes, specialty types of yoga, yoga for accessibility and an introduction to Ayurvedic practices.
You do not have to want to be a teacher to take this training. In fact the number of students I’ve had over the years who started out the training saying that is the majority! However, many of them found their calling mid training and still teach for me today!

If there was one thing that new teachers struggle with the most when they come in to audition for me—it is how to write a yoga class and how to teach a class other than vinyasa or whatever their training was mostly focused on. I’m unsure why so many teacher trainings seem to lack this training, since it’s absolutely a key component and possibly the most time consuming part of teaching yoga. I have decided to impart some of my knowledge and experience in teaching yoga for the past 12 years (sometimes as many as 27 classes a week! All different types of yoga too!) we offer this same sequencing how to in Shine’s Yoga Teacher Training over the course of the twelve modules. Maybe you even took that training but feel that burnt out feeling of coming up with weekly classes that feel new and fresh, take this training and walk away refreshed and revived yourself ready to impart a newness to your classes.
This training will include my sequencing book and a journal for you to write your classes down. It’ll be a fun filled, quick weekend as we go over all the ins and outs of sequencing the many different styles of yoga. Then you will have homework in the form of writing out your classes and filling in the sequencing book. Not only will you be putting into practice what you learn over the weekend but you will also walk away with many classes all written out by you with my mentorship. What a great way to start another year of teaching!
