“the poetic with the real”
there is a line between
poetry and reality
mostly it remains unseen
shadowed and luminous
both decorative and plain
the numinous and mundane
not fully mystical
the line is conceptual
forever metaphorical
reality in this equation
surpasses explanation
and defies imagination
an endless veil to uncover
the more you observe
the more you discover
enough to make a seeker weary
endless interpretations
cave paintings through quantum theory
each of us is a poet
trying to couple reason and rhyme
dying to find meaning with limited time
so we jot something down
with elegant aesthetic
hoping it’s viewed as something prophetic
yet all we get are bits and scraps
mistaking the territory with the maps
how we are with how we feel
the poetic with the real.
