Sharpen Your Low Back Treatment With These Clinical Tips!
1) Over 90% of our chronic low back pain patients have seen significant improvement (up to 90% reduction in pain) after three QL dry needling sessions after years of pain. If you are a CDNP, this is a must try on your next CLBP patients.
2) Rehab doesn't have to involve a ton of challenging exercises in acute low back pain cases. Simple ROM movement can have a HUGE impact in your patients outcomes. Specially if they already show signs of fear avoidance.
3) Progress doesn't mean new exercises all the time. In most cases progress is doing more reps, sets, weight, or even a greater range of motion. Low Back Pain patients respond differently to all of these variables. Start conservative and meet the patient's where they are.
4) Rest is just as important as staying active. Strategic rest allows the body to repair and recover from the new stressors you are introducing in your patient's lives. Rest between sets, exercises and throughout the day can help regulate their rest and make it that much more efficient. (This is not the same as doing nothing)
5) Progress involves your patient's ability to do more with confidence. That be lifting, running, or simply enjoying their day as it comes without fear of the pain creeping up. It doesn't always mean lifting more or running further. For best results, always ask your patients what progress means to them.
Incorporate these in your practice and watch your patient's outcomes improve exponentially.
