Have you seen those fun shaped stones around and wondered what they’re for? Gua sha stones have recently become a popular facial tool for their potential to improve circulation, reduce muscle tension, and temporarily decrease puffiness, but they certainly aren’t new technology. They actually have ties to ancient Chinese practices over 2000 years ago! It’s well documented that similar tools (like smooth stones and coins) were used to treat illnesses by releasing toxins in the body. Cool, right?! But, do they really work?

Well, there isn’t a lot of research to prove it does, and the results certainly don’t last, but many people today use them for lymphatic drainage massages, which does work! So we vote yes- if used consistently.
