Suburban HME is looking for a Respiratory Therapist to help support patients using CPAP, BiPAP, and other non-invasive ventilation therapies.

• Set up and educate patients on CPAP/BiPAP
• Do mask fittings & equipment troubleshooting
• Monitor therapy compliance through software
• Work with doctors and sleep labs
• Keep accurate documentation
• Support patients with comfort, education, and ongoing care

• Strong communication and teaching skills
• Organized and detail-focused
• Able to work independently
• Available for on-call as needed

🎄💙 A Heartfelt Night with Our Margaret Mary Team! 💙🎄
We wanted to share a special moment from our card-writing party last night! Our amazing team and volunteers came together to spread a little extra Christmas cheer to past patients from the Margaret Mary territory — and the turnout was incredible.

💌 We started with a list of around 500 names…
📄 10 full pages of past patients since June…
✍️ And we made it through all but 2.5 pages!

We wrote so many cards that we actually ran out of Christmas cards — a problem we were happy to have! Once we gather more, our volunteers will finish the remaining pages to make sure every name receives a heartfelt message this season.

We’re so grateful for the kindness, teamwork, and compassion shown by everyone who participated. These small gestures make a big impact. 💙

💙 Sharing How Our Equipment Helps People with COPD 💙

At Suburban HME, we’re always looking for ways to educate our community and show how our equipment makes a difference for those living with COPD. Here’s some insight from Vince Roberts, HME Branch Manager:

Biggest Challenge:
❓ “All situations are different, but one of the biggest issues a person with COPD can face is reduced mobility. Any major respiratory condition can make getting around more complicated. In some cases, just getting up and down is a challenge. Reduced mobility often impacts lifestyle and quality of life.”

Equipment That Helps Most:
💨 “Generally, the oxygen concentrator makes the most difference.”

Daily Life Impact:
🌟 “An oxygen concentrator draws in room air to create concentrated oxygen. As long as it’s plugged in and running, it can be used 24/7, giving patients freedom and mobility within their home. Portable oxygen options extend that freedom outside the home as well.”

Tip for Patients & Families:
💡 “Oxygen tanks should be kept as a backup in case of concentrator failure or power outage. If you have to use them, call your oxygen provider to have the tanks swapped out promptly.”
