Mother’s Day can hold a lot of different emotions.

For some, it’s joyful.
For some, it’s heavy.
For some, it’s a reminder of grief, distance, infertility, estrangement, addiction, loss, burnout, or the kind of motherhood that rarely gets acknowledged.

Some are celebrating mothers.
Some are missing them.
Some are trying to become one.
Some are mothering children while learning how to re-parent themselves.
Some are surviving today one hour at a time.

If this day feels complicated for you, you are not alone.

And if you are showing up for your children, your recovery, your healing, your work, your family, or simply yourself despite exhaustion and pain — that matters too.

Take care of yourself today in whatever way you need.
Rest. Set boundaries. Feel your feelings. Reach out. Stay connected.
