The Gospel was shared. Stories were told. And for many parents in that room, something was restored. A reminder that their struggles are seen, that they are not forgotten, and that they are not alone. This is at the heart of everything Mission to Ukraine does for families across Zhytomyr. For nearly 30 years, we have been showing up for the most vulnerable, and we are not stopping. Join us in bringing hope to Ukraine at missiontoukraine.org.

A worship team led the room in song, and something shifted. Parents who came in carrying the weight of their circumstances found themselves in a space of peace, hope, and the presence of God. Music has a way of reaching places that words alone cannot. This is the kind of holistic care Mission to Ukraine brings to families every day, spiritual, emotional, and deeply human. See how you can be part of what God is doing in Ukraine at missiontoukraine.org.

Something beautiful happened when a group of parents came together. There was warmth in the room, openness, and a quiet expectation that something meaningful was about to take place. That is what community looks like when it is rooted in something bigger than ourselves. At Mission to Ukraine, we believe no parent navigating hard circumstances should have to do it alone. Ivy Emerick first found MTU through a Taste and See event, and she has never looked back. As a member of the Masha Giving Circle and a faithful prayer warrior for MTU, she has stayed close to this ministry through every season. What keeps her invested? Watching our staff remain faithful to their calling through circumstances most of us can't imagine. Her words: a powerful example of Christlike service. We are honored to have Ivy in our corner.

The Happy Meal boxes were just the beginning. What those children carried home that day in Ukraine was something much bigger. The feeling of being welcomed. The confidence of having done something hard. The joy of a moment that was fully their own. For nearly 30 years Mission to Ukraine has been walking alongside the most vulnerable children and families in Ukraine and moments like this are exactly why we do it. This is what the compassionate love of Christ looks like in action. Send us a message and we will send you more details about Mission to Ukraine and the ministry.

In Ukraine, our dedicated staff walks alongside these children every single day. On this day they got to watch each child move at their own pace through something completely new. Some needed more time. Some needed a little encouragement. But every single one of them made their own choice, waited for their order, and engaged with the world around them in a way they never had before. This is what it looks like to serve with compassionate love. Our team shows up in Ukraine every day because we believe this is what it means to follow Christ and care for the people He loves most. Happy Birthday to Ira Venglovska!

Today, we are celebrating and thanking Ira for the many years she has invested in Mission to Ukraine. As Director in Ukraine, she has dedicated countless hours, energy, and care to the ministry and to the people we serve.

Her leadership and commitment have impacted so many children with disabilities, women in crisis, families, and staff members over the years. A lot of what Mission to Ukraine does today would not be possible without her dedication behind the scenes.
Thank you, Ira, for all you do and for the way you continue to serve so faithfully. We are grateful for you and hope you have a wonderful birthday!

Join us in wishing Ira a happy birthday!

Something special happened when our Ukrainian staff took the children we serve at Mission to Ukraine to McDonald's for the very first time. For 10 out of 13 kids it was a completely new experience. New sounds, bright lights, long lines, and big decisions. Things that might seem ordinary to most people but require real courage for children with special educational needs. At Mission to Ukraine we believe every child deserves dignity and the chance to grow and this was one of those moments. They showed up and they rose to every single challenge. Today Nadia works multiple jobs and writes fairy tales. Jesus took a story of abandonment and heartbreak and rewrote it into one of creativity, peace, and purpose. This is what He does. This is why we do what we do.
