Today we had the honor of meeting Sofia in person.

Sofia has cerebral palsy and has been receiving physical therapy and classes through Mission to Ukraine for the past 13 years. Her strength and faith left a lasting impression on all of us. Every evening, she prays with a group of friends for her country. After that, she prays with her family, and once everyone is asleep, she continues praying for her country and for her friends.

Despite the challenges she faces, Sofia is able to walk, and she is determined to run one day. Her perseverance is inspiring beyond words.

As a gift, Sofia shared one of her incredible paintings with us, a beautiful reminder that faith, resilience, and creativity can shine even in the hardest circumstances.

Stories like Sofia’s are why Mission to Ukraine exists.

As our team returns from the holiday season, we ask for prayers over our staff and the work ahead.

Please pray for Katie Gheen, Drew Gheen, and Don Lawton as they spend time in Ukraine at the MTU Center.

Follow along this week as we share updates from the field.

As 2025 comes to a close, we want to say thank you for standing with Ukraine.

This year, through your prayers and support, Mission to Ukraine has been able to bring hope, guidance, and practical help to families and communities, even in the midst of war. Every lesson taught, every hand held, and every life encouraged was made possible because of YOU.

As we step into 2026, we ask you to continue walking with us—praying, giving, and helping bring light and hope to a nation that still faces so much uncertainty.

From our team to your family, Happy New Year!
Here’s to another year of service, hope, and transformation.

As winter begins to set in across Ukraine, we’re asking our community to pray with us. ❄️🇺🇦

Pray for our Mission to Ukraine team as they continue serving in challenging and unpredictable conditions. Pray for the families we walk alongside each day—many of whom face the cold without any guarantee of power or heat because of the ongoing war.

In moments like these, prayer matters deeply. Thank you for standing with Ukraine, lifting these families up, and believing with us that God’s presence brings warmth, protection, and hope even in the darkest seasons.

During Christmas, we celebrate Jesus Christ, the Light who entered a broken world to bring hope, peace, and redemption. That same light is still shining today, even in places marked by war, loss, and uncertainty.

Through Mission to Ukraine, we are reminded that God is at work as His people show up with compassion, faith, and love. As we serve families and support local churches, we point to the truth that darkness never has the final word.

As we reflect this Friday, may we carry the light of Christ into every place He calls us, trusting that His love will always shine brighter.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” – 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Please join us in prayer that Christ would bring comfort, hope, and peace to our Ukrainian brothers and sisters during this difficult time of war.

What a blessing to spend three wonderful days celebrating Christmas with parents! Twice daily, we gathered to share the true meaning and light of Jesus’ birth. Pastors shared God’s Word, Christmas songs filled the room, and joyful fellowship created a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Around 160 parents joined us, and we rejoiced as one young boy repented and accepted Jesus into his heart, a beautiful reminder that God’s Word is living and active. Each parent also received a Letter of Love and a calendar to take home.

We are so thankful for open hearts, this special time together, and the opportunity to share the Good News.

This mom and baby are just one example of the families depending on help like this: food, formula, firewood, and hope in the middle of a war.
