Please join us May 15 at Conner Prairie for the Arthritis Foundation Indiana’s Walk to CURE Arthritis. One in four adults has a type of arthritis. We see the devastating effects of this condition every day.
We would love to have you join our team and walk and raise funds for this important cause.

Our goal is to find better solutions, treatments, and a cure. Dozens from Indiana Orthopedic Institute, along with their family members, will be on hand. Our own Dr. Neel Patel, a joint replacement surgeon, also has the honor of being this year’s medical honoree for the Walk to CURE.

Innovation Mile facility. Dr. Buckner just completed his second two-month round with Indiana Orthopedic Institute as part of his Orthopedic Adult Reconstruction Fellowship with Indiana University.

Dr. Buckner was attracted to hip and knee joint replacement because the surgeries reinvigorate lives. “They come to us in misery,” he said. “You do a joint replacement, you give them their life back.”

Orthopedic research and education were key in Dr. Meneghini’s founding of Indiana Orthopedic Institute. Dr. Meneghini remains a professor of clinical orthopedic surgery with the IU School of Medicine and relishes the teaching aspect of medicine.

For Dr. Buckner, being a fellow continues an education that includes the University of Washington School of Medicine and a residency at the University of Nebraska.

Next, he’s off to Alaska!

Dr. Buckner said the close coordination among Indiana Orthopedic Institute’s care teams impressed him. “It’s the best patient experience I’ve seen anywhere I’ve been,” he said.

Get to know Dr. Anthony Feher 🌟

Dr. Feher is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Indiana Orthopedic Institute, specializing in hip and knee replacement, including anterior total hip replacement, total and partial knee replacements, computer-navigated procedures, and revision joint replacement. He cares for patients experiencing hip and knee pain, whether from arthritis, past injuries, or more complex conditions.

Dr. Feher’s approach is centered on each patient and their goals. He takes the time to walk through all available options, both surgical and nonsurgical, so patients and their families can make informed decisions that align with their lifestyle. His focus is not just on treatment, but on helping people stay active and return to the activities that matter most to them.

His background includes a medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine, where he also completed his orthopedic surgery residency, followed by an adult reconstruction fellowship at the University of Louisville focused on hip and knee replacement. He has contributed to research and presentations in bone health and joint replacement throughout his career.

Indiana Orthopedic Institute in City of Noblesville, Ind. and its founder, Dr. Michael Meneghini, this week hosted a renowned surgeon from France as part of an international training program designed to improve orthopedic care.

Professor Nicolas Reina of the University Hospital in Toulouse, France, participated in surgery and clinical work alongside Dr. Meneghini as part of the Practical Course Orthopedics (PCO) program. PCO seeks out the most experienced providers of orthopedic care as part of “virtual fellowship” programs for physicians and healthcare professionals to learn advanced surgical techniques and clinical practices.

“At the Indiana Orthopedic Institute, his vision is tangible: delivering high-quality care at low cost,” Professor and surgeon Dr. Reina wrote of Dr. Meneghini on LinkedIn. “That should be the goal for all of us, especially in healthcare systems where resources are limited. Excellence is not about abundance — it’s about responsibility. We may have some healthcare system similarities Europe/US after all.”

Get to know Dr. Neel Patel 🌟

Dr. Patel is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Indiana Orthopedic Institute, specializing in total joint replacement, including hip and knee replacements, partial knee replacements, revision procedures, and advanced techniques such as robotic-assisted and outpatient joint replacements. Patients come to him for joint pain that interferes with daily life, whether from wear and tear or more complex conditions.

His journey in joint replacement combines research, leadership, and fellowship-trained expertise. Dr. Patel values patient education, shared decision-making, and a personalized approach to care, helping patients understand their options and move forward with confidence.

Originally born in Mumbai, India, and raised in New Jersey, Dr. Patel earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College, completed his orthopedic surgery residency at New York Medical College, and went on to complete his Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at JIS Orthopedics. He has contributed to orthopedic research throughout his career and has presented at national and international meetings.
