The Art of Storytelling summer camp brought to life the amazing storytellers our students are! Students were taught the history of storytelling telling as well as all the many ways we use it in our everyday lives and got to explore the Santa Cruzer Mobile Library as well! After 120 years, the former courtroom in the historic 1904 courthouse is getting a much needed renovation.
The restoration project will reflect the history of the building whilst simultaneously giving it functionality.
A proposed idea is that college and university law students will be able to use the courtroom for mock trials.

Are you a High School student interested in archeology?

Dr. Hunter Claypatch, an expert in the field of archeology, will lead an archeology workshop for high school students. His after school workshop will start on Saturday, January 27.

Students will learn about Ambos Nogales’ precolonial past, handle artifacts, and prepare objects for an exhibit at the Pimeria Alta Historical Society. Students will even be able to visit a local archaeological site.

This workshop is open to active high school students and is a wonderful opportunity for those interested in perusing archaeology, museum studies, or history.

Once the mural on the Boys and Girls club entry was completed, the Murals on Morley wanted to continue their their artistic momentum.
Under the direction of art teacher Miguel Grijalva, students took their brushes and paint cans and have the rec room a splash of color.

Have you visited the history themed mural l on the north side of the historic 1904 courthouse?

The mural was created as part of the Murals on Morley summer camp in 2022.

The overall design and the different components of the mural were thought out and sketched by local high school students.

0S3 Movement Summer Bike Camp brought huge excitement for all ages this past summer. Students were taught to build confident riding skills and got to explore the Santa Cruzer Mobile Library! 🚲📚🎨
