Everyone is posting “Happy Dog Day”…. And, we love our office dogs: Ruby and Deacon. They not only bring us SO much happiness and comfort and joy — they provide all those things also to our patients….

And, unfortunately, Ruby the Aussie has had some health issues the last few weeks… and the veterinarians have been unable to diagnose her condition until today they have broken it down to two possible differential diagnoses.

We are praying 🙏🏻 and ask for prayers it is the condition that is treatable. She was rushed to an emergency Neuro veterinarian and had a battery of tests and MRIs and overnight stay…. It’s astronomical how much it’s cost Dr Goulart the last few days to try and find a diagnosis— yet any curative treatment.

We are not ones who ask for help usually— usually we are the helpers.. However, if any of you find it in your heart as patients and friends to donate anything towards Ruby’s recovery and diagnostic testing… it would be greatly appreciated. Her bill is as much as a used car at the moment.. The test today was $770 to see if she has cancer or if it’s just an inflammatory issue. That would make it a very distinctive diagnosis so it had to be done.

I will not start a “Go Find Me” page or anything .. but if you want to stop by the office and donate.. or Venmo me a donation.. I will give it ALL to my associate Dr Christina Goulart and MATCH it dollar for dollar !! She is the most hard working, loyal and honest doctor I’ve ever met. Like me, we don’t the human children and our dogs are our children. And, she deserves our help this time to ease the burden.. for student loan debt still takes up a lot of her hard earned salary…. Yet, I never hear her complain.
