The last four weeks have been difficult for some of our clients in our Atlanta offices. Uncertainty and fear of deportation have been the themes in therapy, and the test results for the psychological assessments for immigration have been escalating.

I’m pulling every theory of adversity that I can think of, every positive psychological approach, every meaningful hidden purpose to all of this, trying to alleviate some anxiety amidst all of this. The clinical interviews for the psychological evaluations are also taking longer, as I’m trying to hold some space for containing and attuning.

At Guzman Psychotherapy, we help individuals navigate this reality by providing comprehensive psychological evaluations that support immigration cases, including hardship waivers, asylum, U visas, VAWA, T visas, and other cases.

Psychological evaluations not only provide essential documentation for immigration procedures but also give individuals a space to process their experiences, validate their struggles, and find strength in their experiences.

So happy and honored to have shared the stage with such remarkable professionals at last night’s Latinas in Corporate event, hosted by the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Georgia Power. These powerful women offered invaluable insights on thriving in corporate America while staying grounded in purpose and prioritizing mental well-being. It was inspiring to hear successful Latina professionals openly discuss their journeys, the impact of mentorship and peer support, and how to become a true “force of nature”—among so many other takeaways.

I am thrilled to announce that Guzman Psychotherapy is expanding its reach by opening a new office in Barranquilla, Colombia! This is not just a new chapter for our organization, but a dream come true for me personally—to bring to my city a psychological center that embodies the same values and outstanding services we are recognized for in Atlanta. 🇨🇴✨

Our team in Barranquilla is nearly complete and ready to provide measurement-based care, a cutting-edge approach that ensures the highest standards of mental health services. We are committed to offering the best care, just as we do in Atlanta, and to supporting our clients in achieving their goals and improving their well-being.

Our new center will also be a hub for developing research and providing opportunities for psychology students to gain hands-on experience with a global outlook. We’re dedicated to nurturing the next generation of mental health professionals, right here in Barranquilla.

I’m very proud to introduce our team, Jessica, our Manager of Operations and Customer Service, Liliana Maury, Development Manager, Jennifer Diaz, Psychologist, and Alejandra Ordonez, HR Manager and Psychologist.
