This association of physicians active in emergency medicine shall be incorporated as a non-profit organization under the laws of the State of Georgia. Upon Receiving a charter from the American College of Emergency Physicians, this Association shall be a chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians and shall be called the Georgia Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians, or the Georgia College of Emergency Physicians. The American College of Emergency Physicians is a medical specialty society that was formed in 1968 to improve emergency care by setting high standards for emergency medical education and practice. Today, the College has more than 21,000 members and is the recognized leader in emergency medicine. The Georgia Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians is an association of more than 500 Emergency Medicine physicians. GCEP promotes the highest standards of patient care throughout the state of Georgia through its advocacy and leadership efforts.

The Georgia Chapter of the American College of Cardiology (GA ACC) in partnership with the Georgia Nurses Association (GNA), Georgia College of Emergency Physicians (GCEP) and the Georgia Emergency Medical Services Association (GEMSA) is pleased to announce the Emergency Cardiovascular Care Conference (EC3) being held on March 22, 2024 at Gas South Convention Center in Duluth, GA. This one-day conference will focus on the areas of STEMI, Cardiogenic Shock, Stroke and Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest. We have assembled top experts in these fields to discuss the latest treatments and therapies and how to work together as a team to increase survival. The target audience for this conference is cardiologists, emergency medicine physicians, EMS, RNs, CVTs, RTs and others who treat acute coronary syndrome related illnesses.
