Our Founder & President, Jaz Garcia who is also the Health Equity Specialist at the Norfolk Department of Public Health, was interviewed on this International Overdose Awareness Day by WAVY TV 10’s Chris Horn. As a Community Naloxone Partner with VDH since 2023, we have lead the outreach efforts and will continue to educate, provide access to the life saving resources, and remain life savers in the City of Norfolk.

Drug deaths have been on the decline since 2023 and this is because of the accessibility to education, training and the appropriate resources to even be able to see significant impact. It’s also because of organizations like us that keep our communities at the forefront and work with everyone of all ages to continue to save lives 🙏🏽

Drug deaths in the U.S. are at their lowest level since March 2025, according to federal data. Trump continues to cite fentanyl as justification for policies ranging from tariffs to immigration.
