July is Fibroids Awareness Month and while many women of reproductive age are affected, fibroids often go undiagnosed.

Here at the CRC, we have conducted numerous studies on fibroids, ranging from screening to treatment. While we aren't currently conducting any fibroids studies, we encourage women to speak to their gynecologist if they are experience any symptoms to ensure swift discovery and treatment.

We wanted to take a moment to recognize a leader in women's history, our director Dr. Archer.

Dr. Archer has been a fierce advocate of women's health for over 60 years, and board-certified for over 50 years! His passion for women's reproductive health has fostered development of countless contraceptives, researched conditions such as fibroids, endometriosis and menopause, and even served as director of an in vitro fertilization program in Pittsburgh.

Thank you for your dedication to the advancement of women's reproductive health, and we hope you have a wonderful birthday tomorrow, Dr. Archer! 🥳
