As Black History Month comes to a close, we reflect with gratitude.

We honor the resilience, brilliance, culture, and collective strength that have carried generations forward. We celebrate the legacy of those who fought, built, created, and nurtured — often in the face of unimaginable barriers.

And we also hold this truth:

Healing is part of the legacy too.

We deserve more than survival.
We deserve rest.
We deserve boundaries.
We deserve emotional safety.
We deserve support.

At Thriving Well, our commitment to Black wellness does not end with February. It is woven into how we serve, how we care, and how we show up for our community all year long.

Here’s to continuing the work — together.

Social workers give so much of themselves.

But who is holding you?

On March 6th at 11:30 AM, I’m honored to speak at the Millennial Social Work Conference on:

Healing From the Inside Out: Sankofa-Inspired Practices for Trauma Recovery and Emotional Mastery

We’ll explore practical tools to:
✔ Reduce burnout
✔ Strengthen emotional regulation
✔ Integrate ancestral wisdom into clinical work
✔ Sustain yourself long-term in this field

If you’re attending, come ready for restoration AND strategy.

Tag a social worker who needs this reminder.

I’m excited to share that I’ll be presenting at the Millennial Social Work Conference 💜

Healing From the Inside Out: Sankofa-Inspired Practices for Trauma Recovery and Emotional Mastery
🗓️ Friday, March 6
⏰ 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM

This workshop is close to my heart.

We’ll be talking about how social workers and helping professionals can move beyond survival mode and reconnect with themselves through a Sankofa-inspired approach that blends Afrocentric wisdom, somatic healing, and integrative therapeutic practices.

We’ll explore ways to reduce burnout, strengthen resilience, and deepen the work we do with clients — while also allowing ourselves to experience restoration.

If you’re attending the conference, I invite you to join me in this space of reflection, learning, and renewal.

👉 Be sure to enroll in the session — I’d love to see you there.

Growth looks different for everyone.

Right now, are you focusing more on:

A️⃣ Regulating your nervous system
B️⃣ Setting better boundaries

Comment A or B below 👇

(And if you’re working on both… we see you.)

If you need support with either, therapy can help you build sustainable change.

Nari has officially won the Biggest Loser — Pet Edition 🏆🐶

He lost 14% of his body weight — and let me tell you, it was a close race… he was neck and neck with a golden retriever the whole time, but my little guy came out #1.

Beyond the win, I’m just proud of his health, energy, and spirit. As many of you know, Nari is more than a pet — he’s a therapy dog, a gentle presence, and a little healer who shows up for so many people.

Here’s to taking care of ourselves (and our furry companions) — one step, one walk, one choice at a time. 💛

Way to go, Nari — we’re celebrating you today! 🐾✨

NYC weekend with my NABSW Nea Onnim Circle — Luminaries of Ma’at ❤️

So much laughter, fellowship, good conversation, and joy.

I explored all five boroughs, tried amazing Trinidadian food, had real New York pizza, visited Malcolm X’s home, and spent time at an African American museum — soaking in history, culture, and connection.

Weekends like this fill my cup.

I don’t share my personal life often, but just know:

✨ I’m going to rest
✨ I’m going to be in community
✨ I’m going to travel when I can
✨ And yes… I’m trying the dish 😄

Grateful to NABSW for creating spaces where we can grow, reconnect, and stay rooted together.

Still smiling.

Some of us were praised for being strong. But strength without support can turn into isolation. Healing does not erase your resilience.

It expands it.

As we close out Black History Month, we honor strength — and we normalize support.

Burnout doesn’t always look dramatic.
Sometimes it looks like functioning… but feeling empty.

Burnout is common among high-achievers, caregivers, leaders, and “the strong one.”

But high-functioning does not mean healthy.

At Thriving Well, we support clients navigating:
• Anxiety
• Burnout
• Trauma
• Grief
• Major life transitions

Care that meets you where you are — without pressure.

Where the work gets messy… is where transformation begins.

Just wrapped a holistic + business intensive helping someone release years of shame and realign their business with who they truly are.

Also trained a team on burnout prevention this week — reminding me how powerful it is when we address both the nervous system AND strategy.

Ready for realignment? Let’s talk.

I have limited openings for private intensives and leadership trainings this quarter — if you’ve been thinking about working together, now is the time

Most people come to me when things aren’t working — and that’s exactly where transformation starts.
