Calling all creatives - EXTENDED DEADLINE ✨

Whether you're a teen, parent, educator, community partner, artist, writer, or simply someone with a story to share ... we want to hear from YOU!

The Teen Health 360 Open Call 2026 invites you to explore this year’s theme:
“My Body, My Call: How Can Teens Communicate and Set Healthy Boundaries?”

Through art, stories, and creative expression, we want to hear your perspectives on communication, consent, respect, and the ways teens can advocate for their health, safety, and well-being.

Submit your artwork, poems, essays, videos, or mixed media for a chance to win up to $200 in Amazon e-gift cards and have your work featured publicly!

📧 Email/DM us for the link to apply: teenhealth360@odu.edu

Let’s use creativity to spark conversations, amplify youth voices, and promote healthy relationships and well-being. 💬✨

Black Maternal Health Week (BMHW) is a week-long campaign founded and led by the Black Mamas Matter Alliance to build awareness and amplify the voices, perspectives, and lived experiences of Black mamas and birthing people.

Held each year during National Minority Health Month, BMHW begins on April 11th, aligning with the International Day for Maternal Health and Rights—a global call to advocate for the elimination of maternal mortality.

Throughout the week, activities and conversations center on the values and practices of the birth and reproductive justice movements.

As teens, we’re not waiting to grow up to make change.
We care now. We speak up now.

Because the future we’re building starts with justice- for every Black birthing person.

The Future of Public Health Starts Here:
Gen Z is not waiting on the sidelines. We’re ready to lead. From peer education to policy change, we’re bringing our energy, creativity, and lived experiences to the frontlines of public health. But we need a system that’s ready for us.

Let’s invest in public health built for everyone - especially teens. Because when we’re supported, we don’t just imagine change - we create it.
