💉 August is National Immunization Awareness Month!

Vaccines help protect you, your family, and your community from serious diseases- and they’re a key part of staying healthy at every stage of life.

Whether it’s your back-to-school shots, annual flu vaccine, or routine boosters, staying up to date is one of the best ways to protect your health.

Let’s spread awareness, not illness. 💪✨

🌍💉 World Hepatitis Day |

This year’s theme is “Hepatitis: Let’s Break It Down” — a call to action to dismantle stigma, remove barriers to care, and fight for health equity. 🧬

📌 Did you know?
➡️ Over 300 million people live with chronic hepatitis B or C.
➡️ Only 45% of newborns received the hepatitis B vaccine within 24 hours of birth.
➡️ 1.3 million lives were lost in 2022 due to chronic hepatitis.

It’s time to break down the silence, expand access to care, and raise awareness — because hepatitis elimination is possible by 2030. 💪

🗓 July 28 is not just any day — it’s the birthday of Dr. Baruch Blumberg, the Nobel Prize-winning scientist who discovered hepatitis B and developed the first vaccine.

July marks Black Women’s Equal Pay Day - a reminder of the ongoing challenges Black women face in earning fair wages compared to their peers. This gap reflects deeper issues linked to both racial and gender inequality, including how Black women are often overrepresented in lower-paying jobs and less seen in higher-paying roles.

This isn’t just about numbers - it’s about recognizing lived experiences and the barriers many face in the workplace. It’s important for teens to know because pay equity impacts families, communities, and the opportunities we all deserve.

What can we do? Educate ourselves with compassion, support policies that promote fairness, and uplift diverse voices in all career paths. Together, we can work toward a more just and inclusive future where everyone’s contributions are valued 💪🏾✨

Disability is an important part of our diverse communities and belongs at every table. Recognizing and celebrating disability helps create spaces where everyone feels seen, valued, and included.

Understanding disability as part of diversity means breaking down barriers and building a world where all abilities are respected and supported.

Teens, you can make a difference! Speak up, be an ally, and include everyone in your communities- because true belonging starts with each of us.
