Spring Break, but make it a rodeo 🤠🏁

While everyone was home from school, our residents turned the halls into a full-on raceway! From walking to biking to zooming through the building, the energy was unmatched—and the cheers from friends and teammates made it even better 🙌

We are excited to announce that Jessica Rigby has been selected as our new Director of Occupational Therapy!

Jess has worked at the Home for 5 years as a Unit Occupational Therapist. During her time here, she has proven herself to be a compassionate leader and advocate for person-centered care for our residents.

🚨We have some exciting news to share🎊 The first two residents of The Beach House have moved in! Hamda and Alana lived at St. Mary's Home before moving into their own spacious bedrooms in our Virginia Beach group homes.

Hamda is enjoying sitting outside on the back patio and socializing. Alana is enjoying playing her keyboard in her sensory space!

Our Easter Eggstravaganza was a blast! 🐣🌷 With over 5,000 eggs hidden, a petting zoo from our friends at The Teeny Tiny Farm, LLC, games, and plenty of smiles, it was a day full of joy and celebration.

A huge thank you to our amazing community for shopping our Amazon wish list and donating pre-filled Easter eggs—you helped make the magic happen! And thank you to our wonderful volunteers from Chartway Credit Union, Southern Bank, Catholic High School, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc, Kid2Kid, Green Run Collegiate, and Grassfield High School for giving their time and energy to make this day so special. 💛

✨ Introducing The Beach House ✨

Director of Residential Services, Kimberley Bierce, shares the heart behind our new group home in Virginia Beach.

After seeing the life‑changing impact of The Albero House on adult residents and families, we knew another expansion was needed. The Beach House is an ICF/IID home that will support 8 adults with complex disabilities, offering more space and independence—while maintaining the same trusted quality and compassionate care St. Mary’s Home is known for. 💙

🏡 The Beach House is currently in the final stages of licensure and will be open to applications soon.
