On Friday, January 10th, we had the opportunity to celebrate an incredible milestone as you put on First Class Petty Officer. Your hard work, dedication, and leadership have truly paid off.

we say goodbye to one of the absolute best—LT Ray Jordan, our MRCO, our fearless leader, and our mentor.

From guiding us through the toughest missions to inspiring us to be better every single day, LT Jordan has been the heartbeat of our Fleet Surgical Team. Whether it was making the impossible seem effortless or reminding us the importance of shining our boots, LT Jordan set the standard we all strive to meet.

Your leadership, unwavering dedication, and ability to lead with both strength and compassion have left a lasting impact on every one of us. The next team you join doesn’t even know how lucky they are yet, but trust us—they’re getting the best of the best.

🎉💉 Big News from Sick Bay! 🩺

Guess who just diagnosed themselves with a severe case of promotion fever? That’s right our very own—Jawaun White just leveled up to HM1!

You know them as the one who:
🩹 Can find a vein faster than most of us can find our CAC cards.
🩹 Somehow makes every GMT PowerPoint almost entertaining.
🩹 Has patched up more sprained egos and twisted ankles than we can count.

Now they’re officially in charge of more charts, more patients, and probably less coffee. But if anyone can handle it, it’s HM1 White—because he has been curing chaos and spreading motivation since Day 1.

Today, we said farewell to two incredible team members as they prepare to embark on their next big adventures. LCDR Pfaeffle, our dedicated internist, and HM2 Carr D., our talented X-ray tech, are both changing commands, and we couldn’t let them leave without celebrating their impact on our team.

We gathered at CAVA to commemorate their hard work, leadership, and the countless ways they’ve made a difference in our mission and our lives. While we’re sad to see them go, we know they’ll continue to excel and inspire wherever they serve next.

A huge congratulations to our very own Doc Pfaeffle, who recently picked up Lieutenant Commander and was officially earned his Navy Surface Warfare Medical Department Officer qualification!

It was a memorable day as the man, the myth, the legend himself, Capt. Lafreniere traveled all the way from BUMED to do the honors of pinning him. LCDR Pfaeffle’s family also made the journey to celebrate this incredible achievement and pin him, making the moment even more special.

All four Fleet Surgical Teams came together today to make a difference by cleaning up trash along W. Admiral Taussig Boulevard. 💪 Turns out we’re just as good at cleaning up the streets as we are saving lives. As a team, we’re proud to contribute to keeping our community clean and green.
