🇮🇹 Italian Night was pasta-tively amazing!🇮🇹

From the very first bite, the night was un-‘bel-pasta’-ble! 🍝 The food, the laughter, and the joy in the room made it a true feast to remember.

A heartfelt grazie mille to everyone who came out, and an extra special shout-out to the amazing JOI Club—your energy and helping hands kept things running as smooth as olive oil. 🫒👏

Tonight we presented the Cassie Lacost Memorial Self Advocate of the Year Award to Joan Sauser 💜🦋

"This award recognizes someone who leads by example, lives with purpose, and makes a lasting impact on those around them.

This year’s recipient is a shining example of independence, strength, and dedication. She has been employed for over 20 years, showing not only commitment but also resilience and pride in her work. She is someone who doesn’t just meet expectations — she exceeds them.

She’s also an incredibly active community member. Whether it’s through volunteering, serving on local committees, or simply showing up with a helping hand, she is always finding ways to give back. She is part of several local organizations, and it’s safe to say that if you’re from around here — you know her.

Her presence has made our community stronger, more connected, and more compassionate. And for me personally, it’s been a gift to grow up alongside her. I’ve had the chance to witness her journey, her courage, and her unwavering spirit. I’m incredibly proud to call her a friend.
