✨Children’s Saturday Group: Building Strong Foundations Together 🛠️🧰💚

In our Saturday group sessions, we provide children with the tools to navigate their emotions and interactions. By focusing on concepts like empathy, assertiveness, and positive intent, we help children recognize the impact of their choices and understand the consequences of their actions.

This approach develops a supportive environment where children can learn and use the skills needed for emotional regulation and positive behavior.

Ever found yourself holding back tears, unable to voice the pain someone caused you?

In the moment, saying “my feelings are hurt” can be the hardest thing to do, but it doesn't have to be. Below are three ways to express hurt in a healthy way:

🎯Direct Approach:

Example: "I need to tell you something. What you said/did really hurt my feelings, and I feel upset about it. Can we talk about what happened?"

👉🏽Using "I" Statements:

Example: "When you said/did that, I felt really hurt and upset. I wanted to let you know because our relationship is important to me, and I hope we can work through this."

🔁 Explaining the Impact:

Example: "I want to share how I've been feeling. Your words/actions made me feel hurt and unappreciated, and it's been bothering me a lot. Can we discuss this so we can understand each other better?"
