WE ARE HIRING!

The Crystal Sunflower is immediately seeking a confident, compassionate, professional, & self-motivated Shoppe Associate to join our Magickal Team in Norfolk, VA!

✨Requirements✨

-Must be able to work 3-4 consecutive days from ~10:45 am until ~7:15 pm, primarily Mon-Tue, Thur, and at least every other Sunday; including holiday seasons & rare shift swaps.

-Must have an existing magickal practice to authentically assist others

-Must have compassion, empathy, & a positive attitude who can multi-task & open & hold a gentle space for guests who need a safe haven

-Must have dependable transportation & be on time

-Must possess confident & patient customer service experience & be able to work well with others

-Must have compelling writing skills

-Must be willing to learn, accept constructive criticism, & expand knowledge on vast spiritual practices

-Must have photography and graphics experience

-Must have social media and marketing experience

- Must have experience with Microsoft applications (e.g., OneDrive, Excel, Word, etc.)



🔮Bonus Skills: NOT required, but a huge plus!🔮


-Knowledge of a POS system

-Expertise on a particular mystical practice such as astrology, runes, herbalism, etc.

🌻General Job Responsibilities🌻

-"Open space" & open the shoppe promptly by 11:00 am daily

-Warmly greet guests, assist w/ inquiries, & be aware of their needs w/o being sales or pushy

-Use a POS system to properly input inventory, check out customers, & process payments

-Photograph inventory and edit to appropriately reflect TCS branding style

- Prepare write-ups for social media- posting as necessary

-Clean & stock shelves & displays

-Restock/update supplies & inventory, organize storage & employee areas, & communicate effectively w/ owner & fellow employees

-Close & secure the shoppe at the end of each work day

FEB 21- Join us in a Wand-making Workshop at the GWS! Everything is included. See more details for this event on our previous post.

FEB 25- Join for a night of Moonwater Bottle magick! Everything is included to decorate your unique Moonwater Bottle just in time for the full moon.

FEB 28- Join us for our monthly Guided Sound
Meditation. We will only have one more meditation at GWS as our lease expires at the end of March.

February is a month of nourishment.
You'reprobably saying NO WAY... after all, animals are hibernating, trees are bare, here in Hampton Roads remnants of snow and ice dot our landscape, and quite frankly, the USA is a dumpster fire in many ways.

So how is February the month of nourishment?

My friend, this is the time to go WITHIN and give yourself permission to find the nourishment that you need. You must fill your empty cup because spring is just around the corner.

You must ask yourself: WHAT DO I NEED RIGHT NOW?

What must I find to soothe my tired soul? 🕯

What do I need to ease my tense body? 🧘‍♀️

What must I embrace to invigorate my spirit? 🎨

Personally, I'm taking these long nights to roll back my bedtime and embrace a better sleep schedule. ALL of me needs that.
I'm finding my way back to a consistent, daily practice and venturing outside everyday is part of that (after all, the Year of the Hermit is over!)
Finally, I've signed up for a 13-wk yoga class that is quite the challenge to commit to, but so fulfilling! I literally HEAR my body say: you've needed this ❤️

So sit in the stillness.
Get comfortable.
Start at the top of your head and work your way down, noticing everywhere that is tense, achy, sad, tired, needs invigorating, or is just plumb worn out.

Head hurts? Give yourself permission to take a nap
Shoulders ache? Schedule that massage you've put off for 6 months.
Lower back or feet killing you? Take a hot bath or find a yoga class
Mind tired of wondering where our country will be next year? Volunteer so you can help be the change (we are working on adding links in our bio... stay tuned)
