The Sickle Cell Association of Hampton Roads The Sickle Cell Hampton Roads VA(SCHRVA) broad mission is to advocate for those affected by Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) within the Hampton Roads Area.

The Sickle Cell Association of Hampton Roads VA broad mission is to advocate for those affected by Sickle Cell Disease (SCD). Geographic Focus: The Sickle Cell Association of Hampton Roads is a local community based organization that focuses on the needs of people with SCD in Hampton Roads. We provide local support groups, connect patients with resources, and raise awareness in the community. Patient Support: The Sickle Cell Association of Hampton Roads provides direct services to patients and caregivers. It includes educational workshops, mentorship programs, and financial assistance for treatment. Public Awareness: The Sickle Cell Association of Hampton Roads strives to educate the public about SCD, including its symptoms, causes, and the challenges faced by patients by participating in outreach programs, community events, and social media campaigns.
