Testimony on Headaches, dizziness, ear ringing and poor sleep quality

For years I struggled with debilitating headaches. They didn’t happen every single day, but when they came, they lasted all day long and stole so much of my life. I also had a long history of dizziness, lightheadedness, and constant noise in my ears. I tried chiropractic adjustments 2–3 times a week, and at first they helped—but eventually they stopped making a difference. That’s when my daughters, one a Chiropractor and the other a Physician Assistant, recommended I try Taylor Creek Physical Therapy because they are Postural Restoration (PRI) certified.

I cannot begin to express how much PRI therapy at Taylor Creek PT has changed my life.

I can now sleep through the night.
My neck is no longer tight.
I no longer run into walls or furniture.
I can pick up my grandkids and walk around with them—something I was once too afraid to do.

Before PRI, the noise in my ears kept me awake at night. I was constantly bumping into doorframes and furniture because I wasn’t balanced. My family had to hand me my grandkids only after I was seated, because I didn’t trust myself to pick them up from the floor. I lived with brain fog, exhaustion, and fear of falling. I would wake up tired and groggy, no matter how much I slept.

Now, all of that has changed. I wake up feeling refreshed. I feel balanced, grounded, and finally free of the tension that once controlled my life. And I no longer have headaches.

This transformation didn’t happen overnight—it was a process. Taylor Creek PT guided me every step of the way, working collaboratively with specialists to integrate everything I needed into my treatment plan.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Krugman for dental integration and creating a mouthpiece to help with clenching, and to Dr. Rockwell for providing standing refraction right at Taylor Creek PT to support my balance and overall progress.

Everyone at Taylor Creek PT is so precious, so accommodating, and truly knows what they are doing. I am deeply grateful for the care, expertise, and compassion that helped give me my life back.

So excited to share our patients testimonials following concussions and traumatic injuries. We have a GREAT team in Norfolk - much like the excellent team in Lincoln - who helped us along the way treating our patients in NE Nebraska. We now have a dental and vision integration team if needed for our patients to help them find stability from the ground up and top down - AKA cortical connectedness of your own body prior to the injury.

Meet Ann! Ann is our newest PT and has been a gift to our clinic and PRIME program because she has been on both sides of the table. Learning to manage post-concussion symptoms with a PRI-based, integrative approach has given her unique qualifications to assist those in similar positions. Hearing and knowing that "You are not alone" when navigating "invisible illnesses" like post-concussion or dysautonomia can make all the difference in the world to patients. For over 15 years, I lived with constant foot pain. I saw multiple podiatrists who offered different treatments, but nothing brought me lasting relief. Then, this past summer, I tore my hamstring, and that led me to Taylor Creek Physical Therapy. At first, I thought it was just another injury to deal with, but in hindsight, it was a blessing in disguise. Not only have I fully recovered from my hamstring injury, but my feet no longer hurt either.

If you had asked me about the pain in my feet before PT, I’d rate it a solid 7/10—sometimes more. I’d leave foot doctor consultations with options like injections, steroids, or surgery. None of those felt right for me. I wasn’t comfortable with medication or surgery, and I just wanted something that would work without the side effects.

Kristi at Taylor Creek suggested custom orthotics, and after she did the foot impressions, she recommended the best shoes for my foot type. That simple step made a huge difference—not just for my feet, but also for my hamstring recovery.

Through PT, I learned that my hips were incredibly weak, and how much that weakness impacted my ability to stand or walk for long periods. We focused a lot on strengthening each hip differently than the other, and it was eye-opening to see how those muscles directly affected my movement.

I’m a busy mom of four kids, so sitting down for a break is a luxury. I started my career as a veterinarian, which meant standing all day on concrete. Now, I’m an agriculture instructor at Lutheran High Northeast, where I often wear steel-toed boots that offer zero arch support. The orthotics fit like a dream in my boots. My Fitbit logs me at 12,000-20,000 steps a day, and I’m doing better than ever. In the past, if I walked 25-30,000 steps, my feet would throb for two days straight. Now, after a long day, I can put my feet up, and the next morning I don’t pay for it. I don’t have to push through the pain anymore.

There was a time when the foot pain was so bad that I would cry. I even told my husband I’d rather have Jesus come back and take me home than to keep enduring it. Every morning, stepping out of bed felt like a struggle. But today? I wake up without that dreaded pain. And I can’t even begin to explain how much of a difference that’s made in my life.

Vocal cord disfunction, raspy voice, anxiety, ear, facial pain and jaw popping

I was referred to Taylor Creek primarily for my voice—or lack thereof. My voice had been low, raspy, and weak for the past three years. My breath would cut out before I could finish a word. For example, the word “ketchup” would come out as “ketch,” and nothing else. Or I would say a sentence, but the last part of my words would never come out. I often stayed silent because speaking took so much effort.

In addition, my anxiety was through the roof. I couldn’t relax enough to get a good night’s sleep. I also had a history of right ear fullness and pressure around the right side of my face and jaw from a previous surgery. For years, I would hear myself talk with a muffled sound in my head. I quit singing because my voice sounded terrible to me! It always felt like I had an ear infection.

Luckily, Taylor Creek had treated many cases like mine, particularly with voice issues, facial pain and jaw problems. Initially it was challenging for me to relax enough to breathe through my nose. I had to relearn how to breathe correctly to relax my vocal cords. They also helped me fix my posture, which was contributing to tight neck muscles and affecting my ability to project my voice. My jaw popping also improved significantly and no longer pops when I eat or open my mouth naturally. I no longer experience fullness in my right ear. Both sides of my face feel normal now—no longer swollen or painful. I can’t help but cry with relief after so many years of discomfort!

I feel so relaxed during the day and no longer feel anxious. When my 12-year-old son said to me, “Mom, your voice is getting so much better,” I felt like I could finally talk to my kids again like a mom should!

Ben Sudbeck is amazing. I can’t believe this issue was undoable. I had felt so out of character, thinking I could never escape this life. I can’t believe I carried it for so long. I’m grateful my practitioner recommended that I come here for vocal cord dysfunction! I am no longer a mouth breather and can breathe so easily through my nose.

I am so appreciative of the people at Taylor Creek and their expertise in helping people like me with very challenging issues that aren’t addressed elsewhere. I highly recommend them to anyone experiencing similar problems.

Constant neck tension and headaches gone in 3 sessions

For 2.5 months, I was plagued by daily headaches and relentless neck tension. As an electrician, I couldn’t focus or think straight. The pain, a constant 6/10, radiated through my upper traps, the base of my skull, and wrapped around to my forehead.
During my first session at Taylor Creek PT, I couldn’t even rotate my neck to look over either shoulder.

The left side of my body was significantly more tense, with my left hip much tighter than my right. But by the end of the session, something incredible happened. I discovered how using my left hip could relieve my neck and headache tension! I was amazed at how quickly the pain melted away simply by aligning my left leg and hip.

To be honest, it felt a bit awkward at first, positioning my left leg in such an unusual way—but the results were undeniable. The pressure in my neck and head disappeared.

My doctor had referred me to specifically to Taylor Creek PT, and from the moment I walked in for my first session, I could literally feel the pain and pressure draining away. By the end of that appointment, I was pain-free—unless I reverted to my old posture. The moment I stood the way I had before, the pressure returned instantly. The experience was nothing short of eye-opening.

After just three visits, I was discharged, pain-free, and headache-free—thanks to what I learned about using my left leg to maintain proper alignment. Now, it's becoming more natural every day to move this way, and the relief has been life-changing.

If you’re struggling with neck pain or headaches, I highly recommend coming to Taylor Creek PT. It truly changed everything for me!

If you have back pain, I urge you to go to the right physical therapy clinic! I did not perform a single exercise to stretch or strengthen my back at Taylor Creek Physical Therapy - Branson Hoefer

I ruptured two lumbar discs 20 years ago from weightlifting, but for the last 5+ years, I’ve lived with constant back pain—8 out of 10 pain, all day, every day. I relied on ibuprofen just to get through the day. Mornings were the worst, as I was twisted to one side and hunched over, unable to stand up straight for an hour. I was ready for back surgery. I was losing strength in my legs, and they were becoming increasingly numb.

I was skeptical when my spinal surgeon recommended starting therapy. He suggested only one place in Norfolk: Taylor Creek Physical Therapy. I felt great relief on my first visit. On my fourth visit, I had 48 hours without pain for the first time in five years. Honestly, I’m still shocked at how great I feel every day since I started at Taylor Creek Physical Therapy!

I can play with my kids without needing to stop and rest. I never chased them or ran along with them before. I could never kick or throw a ball with force; my movements were always slow and gentle. Now, I can do everything without restrictions or guarded movement. I can push, pull, lift, and bend without pain.

I can get up in the morning, stand up straight, and just go—no longer needing ibuprofen. I’m playing sports with my kids.

I had no idea how severely twisted I was until I came to Taylor Creek. This was the best decompression for my back. The therapy focused on my hip, core, and trunk stability. I highly recommend Taylor Creek Physical Therapy!

My knee pain was so severe that I couldn't walk from my mailbox to the house without experiencing 10 out of 10 pain. Playing with my kids and getting in and out of farming equipment became enormous challenges. All summer long, my job required me to walk through cornfields, which was both difficult and excruciating. Additionally, as a farmer, I struggled to squat low to work on my equipment, and the knee pain made working on pivots agonizing.

I began knee rehab at another physical therapy clinic, but I wasn't making the progress I expected. I reached out to various PT clinics in Norfolk to ask about their rehab processes. Ultimately, I found the best team at Taylor Creek PT, who truly pushed me to meet my goals. As an extremely active person, my knee pain was slowing me down. Now, I have a renewed sense of ability to work, be involved with my family, and farm with zero restrictions.

I genuinely believe my success with my new knee is thanks to the team at Taylor Creek PT. They understood my goals and supported me every step of the way, which was exactly what I wanted. For years, I was limited by mobility issues and pain. When I completed my rehab, I left with confidence, knowing I could trust my new knee. I practiced going up and down ladders, and now I can climb grain bins, step into my semi, and get into my combine with ease. I worked on lifting, pushing, and pulling, and they encouraged me because they knew I was determined.

Now, after 22 years of pain, I am pain-free and have zero restrictions. Their therapy aligned perfectly with who I am as a person—I’m driven and eager to move forward in life, and that’s what I expected from physical therapy. It was exactly what I wanted and needed! I highly recommend Taylor Creek PT for knee rehab.

This is my journey following a golf injury, resulting in a torn labrum in my hip and ruptured gluteal muscle.
For a year and a half, I walked with a horrible limp after golfing. I was diagnosed with an IT band strain and torn cartilage in my hip. Because the hip pain never went away, I was referred to an orthopedic hip specialist who confirmed a complete tear in my gluteal muscle in addition to my severely torn labrum.

Following surgical repair, my orthopedic surgeon specifically referred me to Taylor Creek PT because of their expertise in Postural Restoration therapy. This therapy was vastly different from my previous experience in PT. I was surprised at how hard I worked on my non-surgical leg. This allowed me to off-load the constant pressure of my surgical repair and BALANCE my hips to walk and move without pain.

Their patience, kindness, and compassion were amazing because I was beside myself with pain and unable to do anything! At one point, I didn’t think it would ever get better. My number one goal was to walk once again without pain or a limp, and the team at Taylor Creek always made me feel better walking out after each session.

Now I can walk 6 miles or 17,000 steps a day. I’m back to golfing better than ever. I can go up and down steps without fear or having to think about how to move. I’m speechless at how good it feels to move and have zero pain, especially after two years of constant, excruciating pain. It’s overwhelming to see how far I’ve come.
Mentally, this has been the hardest thing I’ve ever been through. I knew that I could walk in, and no matter how I felt that day, the team at Taylor Creek was going to lift me back up.

I would not only recommend Taylor Creek PT for the Postural Restoration therapy that has me walking so well, but also for the sense of family I built with all the staff.

I just wanted to live again—to work out, play, and enjoy my family without back pain.
For almost a year, I dealt with off-and-on back pain that would sometimes lock up my mid and lower back, leaving me on the floor for 3-4 days. I couldn’t walk; I had to crawl on my hands and knees just to get to the bathroom. During these episodes, I couldn’t work, walk, sit, or drive. My life came to a standstill.
As a physically active person, this was devastating. I used to lift weights 4-5 times a week and run or bike twice a week. But for 10 months, I couldn’t care for or play with my two little kids. My life became a constant cycle of sitting on the couch, waiting in fear for the next episode of my back locking up. The pain was a 10 out of 10, so severe that my wife had to take me to appointments in a wheelchair.
Not only could I not roughhouse with my kids or pick them up, but even our quality time together was reduced to them lying beside me on the floor. The burden on my wife was enormous—not only did she have to take care of the kids and home, but she also had to do everything else, including shoveling snow in December. Over the course of this ordeal, I missed around twenty days of work and countless moments with my family.
I went through 10 weeks of physical therapy at another facility. At that time, I was strong enough to max out on resistive trunk exercises and cable equipment when my back wasn’t locked up. However, the flare-ups kept coming back. My MRI and other tests were negative, which baffled all the medical professionals. With no need for injections or surgery, my last doctor recommended Taylor Creek Physical Therapy. From the very first day, I was an instant believer in their approach.
My first session at Taylor Creek PT was incredible. After two solid months of constant back pain, I walked out completely pain-free. I learned that simply adjusting how I stood could eliminate all the pain. It turns out that my habit of placing pressure on the balls of my feet was a major trigger for my pain. By shifting my weight to my left leg more than my right, I was able to offload the tension. I also learned simple adjustments for how to rise from a chair, sit, and sleep on my side—all of which are now pain-free.
Every session brought more progress as I performed Postural Restoration exercises. After just 12 visits, I was 100% better and back to weightlifting, running, and, most importantly, playing with my family. Coming to the experts at Taylor Creek PT was a game-changer for me. It’s amazing how the whole body is connected, and Postural Restoration therapy made all the difference.

Following my prostate surgery, I struggled with urinary incontinence, which is one of the unfortunate downsides of the procedure. My urologist recommended Taylor Creek PT for pelvic floor therapy, and I am so glad I followed through with that recommendation.
Initially, I assumed that I would attend a few sessions, learn some Kegel exercises, and be on my way. However, what I discovered was far more enlightening and impactful. I learned that pelvic exercises aren't one-size-fits-all; in fact, the exercises differed significantly between the right and left sides of my hips and pelvis. I also never realized how much my breathing affected my ability to control my pelvic floor. I became more aware of my tendency to hold my breath while sitting, squatting, or even swinging a golf club. This habit was creating increased pelvic floor pressure, which was hindering my progress.
What surprised me most was the connection between preventing incontinence and the position of my hips and pelvis. Rotating my hips forward or back drastically affected my pelvic floor pressure, and I realized that my habitual pattern of standing on my preferred leg more often was slowing my recovery after surgery. I became aware of how my posture and movement patterns—like standing with my center of gravity over one leg—were negatively affecting my progress.
The team at Taylor Creek PT taught me how to strengthen my core differently on the left side compared to the right. I rarely performed exercises in the same way for both sides, and I had to make changes in how I sat at my computer and how bar stool-height chairs were contributing to my stress incontinence. I was able to carry these lessons into the weight room when I returned to my workouts, quickly realizing that my previous squat form needed to change after surgery.
I now understand that recovery and improvement don’t just happen with time. I learned much more than just controlling incontinence, and I firmly believe that this is not something that can be effectively managed through “internet advice.” The personalized, professional care at Taylor Creek PT made all the difference.
