Open Arms Personal Care

Open Arms Personal Care Welcome to Open Arms Personal Care! Our caring team offers non-skilled home care with a personal touch, assisting with daily activities to nurture independence.

We believe in empowering individuals to embrace fulfilling lives on their own terms. Convenience. If you ask any senior citizen or convalescing patient, most prefer to remain at home rather than utilize the services of a nursing home or assisted living facility. Open Arms Personal Care is a home health care agency providing the necessary assistance needed for clients who are not in need of complex

medical care, but are having difficulty taking care of their own needs. Comfort. The privilege of staying at home for as long as possible can mean a great deal to seniors and other clients. In a lot of cases, their biggest fear is the loss of independence. Confidence. Home care makes it possible for individuals who wish to remain at home to be able to do so with confidence. Clients who utilize home health care come from all ages and backgrounds and, likewise, have different needs. Capabilities. A wide variety of personal care services including walking assistance, personal hygiene and housekeeping are provided. Mail organizing, recreational activities and family respite care are additional services available as well as meal preparation and transportation for doctors408 appointments or running errands.

πŸŽ‰ A Heartfelt Celebration at Open Arms! πŸŽ„
What a special day it was! We not only celebrated our annual Christmas party, but also bid a fond farewell to our beloved Georgia, who is retiring after being with Open Arms since June 2006. Georgia has been an integral part of our journey and one of the original founders who helped create this amazing family. It was so meaningful to have our caregivers come together to celebrate both the holidays and Georgia’s incredible legacy with us.
Thank you, Georgia, for your years of dedication, compassion, and friendship. Wishing you all the best in this new chapter of your life! πŸ’•βœ¨
Check out some photos from our memorable day, full of love, laughter, and gratitude. πŸ“Έ

🌟 Celebrating Louis Wilson – A Dedicated Nurse Retires with Grace 🌟

Louis Wilson, a cherished member of our Open Arms family, recently bid farewell to her noble career in nursing. As a registered nurse who dedicated herself to providing heartfelt home care for many years, Louis leaves a legacy of compassion and kindness that will forever be remembered.

On her retirement on May 24, 2024, Louis now embarks on a well-deserved journey of relaxation and self-discovery, taking time to savor life's simple joys and explore new horizons. Though uncertain of her next steps, we have no doubt that Louis will fill her days with purpose and fulfillment.

To honor her incredible service, we gathered in a small, intimate setting to bid Louis farewell. Surrounded by love and appreciation, we shared meaningful moments, exchanged gifts, and enjoyed a special lunch together. Louis expressed her gratitude, leaving us touched by her kind words and warm spirit.

Louis, your legacy of compassion and commitment will forever inspire us. May your retirement be filled with peace, joy, and endless possibilities. Thank you for your years of service and the love you have shared with all of us. You will always have a special place in our hearts. πŸ’–πŸŒ·

When I talked about high blood pressure, I mentioned that if left untreated you could have a stroke. so, let me take this time to relay to you what a stroke is and some of the behaviors you could experience if a stroke is happening to you or your client or even a friend or a family member.
A stroke may occur if there is a bleed or blockage of blood flow to your brain. Time is of the essence if either of these things happens.
The cells in the brain can die rapidly, so, knowing the signs of a stroke is very helpful because this will help you to know something is wrong and prompt you to seek immediate medical attention. Now that you are familiar with what can lead to a stroke, I will give you some clues to look for :Balance: loss of coordination, and possibly dizziness. Eyes: There may be vision trouble in one or both eyes. Face: A droopy face with a smile
Arms: With raised arms, there may be difficulty keeping arms up. Speech: the difficulty of speech and or confusion may occur. Time: recognizing these signs offers Immediate Emergency care and a fighting chance of good outcomes with treatments.
Now you are armed to ( BE FAST ) in the recognition of a possible stroke looking for a treatment.

Hello, hello, hello,
I am back. I was just wondering if any of you have any questions before I continue. Please leave a comment and I will respond.
For those of you that was diagnosed with Hypertension (high blood pressure), I hope the posts will help you to make some sense of what high blood pressure is capable of.
If you have high blood pressure that is not being managed or is even not being managed properly then your hypertension could put your heart at risk. Your heart could start experiencing the strain of working too hard which could show up in the form of a heart attack, heart failure, stroke, and or issues with your kidneys.
If you are told by your physician that you are hypertensive or at risk, then you and your physician will have a conversation about how treatment can be beneficial to you. Follow up with your physician and make changes per your doctor's instructions. Remember medication helps but making simple changes to your lifestyle can also be a plus to a healthier you.
