Open Arms Personal Care in Norfolk, VA is looking for compassionate Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our growing team!

As a PCA, you’ll make a difference every day by helping clients with daily living activities, promoting independence, and providing meaningful companionship in their homes or assisted living facilities.

What You’ll Do:
✔️ Assist with personal care, grooming & meal prep
✔️ Support mobility, light housekeeping & companionship
✔️ Document & report changes in client health
✔️ Work with care teams to deliver quality service

What We’re Looking For:
✔️ Prior home health or assisted living experience (preferred)
✔️ Compassionate, dependable & communicative team players
✔️ CNA, CPR, or HHA certification (a plus!)
✔️ Must be able to commute to Norfolk, VA 23504

💰 Pay: Starting at $13.50/hour
🕓 Hours: 10–40 per week (flexible scheduling available)

What a special day it was! We not only celebrated our annual Christmas party, but also bid a fond farewell to our beloved Georgia, who is retiring after being with Open Arms since June 2006. Georgia has been an integral part of our journey and one of the original founders who helped create this amazing family. It was so meaningful to have our caregivers come together to celebrate both the holidays and Georgia’s incredible legacy with us.

Louis Wilson, a cherished member of our Open Arms family, recently bid farewell to her noble career in nursing. As a registered nurse who dedicated herself to providing heartfelt home care for many years, Louis leaves a legacy of compassion and kindness that will forever be remembered.

On her retirement on May 24, 2024, Louis now embarks on a well-deserved journey of relaxation and self-discovery, taking time to savor life's simple joys and explore new horizons. Though uncertain of her next steps, we have no doubt that Louis will fill her days with purpose and fulfillment.

To honor her incredible service, we gathered in a small, intimate setting to bid Louis farewell. Our caring and experienced caregivers provide up to 24 hour care in the comfort of your own home, at affordable rates. Our services make it possible for our clients to remain in their home instead of being placed in a nursing home or institutional facility. Open Arms Personal Care is licensed and insured, and their caregivers are carefully screened to be of the most benefit to their clients. Medicaid, private insurance and private pay are accepted.
