Sooner Station had the pleasure of hosting author Susan Dragoo, who shared the story behind Finding the Butterfield! We were especially proud to celebrate our amazing resident Sibyl McKellar, who served as the book’s editor! Residents gathered for a fascinating presentation about the history of the Butterfield Overland Trail Mail Service and its journey through Indian Territory. It was a wonderful afternoon of learning, storytelling, and community.
