I just learned that you can look up your own records at this website. I just looked mine up in about two minutes and confirmed I’ve had two doses of MMR vaccine (1984 and 2001). If you were born after 1957, you should have TWO doses of MMR vaccine to have the best chance of Measles immunity. If you’ve had only one dose, you can get another dose now. If you can’t find your records, you can either have blood tests done to see if your titers are in the immune range or just go ahead and get another dose now. It is safe to get an extra dose, even if you’ve had one or two in the past.
Measles is a highly contagious disease, and individuals are protected if they are immune, either through vaccination or a previous infection. Are you protected?
