Honoring our social workers 🎉
We are celebrating our terrific team of social workers during Social Work Month, which is celebrated each March.
Our social work department consists of Ryan Kenedy, left, director; Sharla Tapper, Cailey Mastin, Jaden Lipsey and John Knehans.
Our social workers help patients and families in a variety of ways, including identifying objectives for patient treatment plans, connecting families with resources and leading meetings between families and interdisciplinary treatment teams about a child’s progress.

Our patients have loved working with students from on arts and crafts projects.
The kids recently used their handprints to create a tree picture. They also got to play in some “spring snow” by adding water to a powder to create snow that they could mold. ❄️

During his inpatient stay, he has worked on such tasks as using his communication device and practicing self-feeding skills.
