Fresh off of a 2025 NBA Championship, the OKC Thunder have selected Georgetown freshman, Thomas Sorber, with the 15th overall draft pick. Sorber's 2024-2025 season ended in February with a left foot injury. Specifically, Sorber suffered from a MTP joint injury, or more commonly known as turf toe, requiring surgery to repair.

Turf toe occurs when the big toe is hyperextended, causing ligaments, tendons and soft tissues to stretch or tear. This type of orthopedic injury is common among athletes that jump or push off of their foot to a sprint.
